Edgar Wright’s “The Sparks Brothers” was good. I didn’t realize Sparks was so old, dating back to when they were UCLA students in the late 60’s. Though many of the commenters that spoke into the camera were musicians, there were also fans like Patton Oswalt, Mike Myers, Jason Schwartzman and Neil Gaiman.

there's a really good new comp of pittsburgh punk bands called welcome to pittsburgh don't move here or something like that. i forget if they're on it but the pgh scene is hopping lately

just found that comp on the web. I love the burgh. my band's first post-pandemic show is gonna be just north of pittsburgh.

Speaking of the Cowsills, I saw Susan play a free show at the Toms River library six years ago. Only a few attended. It’s a shame I had to leave when it ended; I could’ve stayed and met her at the merch table.

I don’t know any of these songs in the playlist and comments that are named “Sleepwalk”. I only know of “Sleepwalk” by Shannon and the Clams. I’m mad at that group for not playing at any NJ venues since their Asbury Lanes shows in 2008 and 2009.

Have you ever noticed all the connections between Kate Bush and the TV show “Blackadder”? Sometime around 1980, Rowan Atkinson starred in the skit show “Not the Nine O’Clock News”, which once lampooned Kate. Then some years later, Rowan sang a duet with the real Kate on a “Comic Relief” broadcast!

“Blackadder”’s Hugh Laurie appears in the video for Kate’s song “Experiment IV” (as does Dawn French). Tim McInnerny appears in the video for “This Woman's Work”. Miranda Richardson costars in Kate’s film “The Line, The Cross & the Curve” which features the music from the album “The Red Shoes”. Stephen Fry speaks on the title track on the “50 Words For Snow” album.
