Glen Foerd has a gorgeous elevated view of the Delaware. There was a great moonrise last night. I took many photos! The mansion itself is pretty cool too

@Alan - One of my favorites by them! Their late singer/guitarist Grant McLennan wrote it about walking home to his mom's house through fields in rural Queensland.

@Lizbot, I heard a tune like this (Cattle and Cane) while I was dreaming that I was walking along the rooftops, then I woke up but didn't write the notes down unfortunately...

@Alan - I LOVE dreams like that. I often have dreams in which I hear music that sounds amazing in the dream, but I can never remember it when I wake. At least you got to enjoy it in your dream!

I still think about a dream I had back in 2000/2001 about a band in peppermint suits playing the most amazing song I ever heard. That song haunts me

I had a dream of my passed away grandmother, and all the passed away people in our family sitting on a Very Precipitous Grassy Hill, clouds below, me playing a banjo to a tune... I woke up and programmed my casio, tried in vain to remember it for two weeks, went to the casio, hit play, and then recalled it...wrote it later and called it "Going to Mary's" my grand mothers name...

@Mark & Alan - And for the record, while I like some Linklater movies alright- Dazed and Confused is fun on a pure entertainment level as a 70s Texas version of American Graffiti- I am not a fan of Waking Life. It comes off as kind of pretentious, scatterbrained and a bit like a stoned guy ranting at a party all at once

Noggin and it's lack of commercials): The Upside Show, Backyardigans, Little Bear, Oswald the Octopus (with Richard Kind and Michael McKean - met the author in Princeton once!), and Word Girl on Sprout. BUT CALLIOU can die a thousand deaths!

@Alan - My dean in college was the head of the Russian dept and bugged me to take Russian but there were/are many other languages I'd choice first, though I do like the sound of Russian

@jimbeaux - and my kid was very into Yo Gabba Gabba, which I was fine with, some of those songs were pretty good!, but I was glad she never asked to see it live!

@jimbeaux - yeah, I haven't seen them perform that, but I caught their The Gun Show performance at Princeton with Mr. Various of the Worried Waltz in attendance as well. And I saw them perform with PLORK Princeton Laptop Orchestra and Matmos in Princeton before that. They came around for a show with PRISM Quartet in Philly a few years ago and held workshops for kids at the Kimmel. Turns out my kid was the ONLY one to sign up for it, so she got a one-on-one lesson for an hour!

There was a great PhilaMOCA tribute to Sparks back in 2012 that was an amazing fan gathering. That one and the fan gathering at Carling Academy in Islington in 2008 during 21 Nights Sparks concerts were so amazing!
