Those pitch-wavering moments in his pieces are so interesting. Hits the ears in a unique way

As background music, Jon Hassell's work would create a loopy/trippy atmosphere.

All those microtonal embellishments he picked up through Indian music.

Yeah, Ry Cooder is quite prolific.

The Ry Cooder trilogy of the 2000s has some really cool sounds. I, Flathead came w a book too. And Chavez Ravine is quite a story too
