Go Team. Flaming Lips. Ween. Red Rocks 2006. I was at that one. 1st and only time at Red Rocks so far for me. I heard Go Team in parking lot and it sounded great. I got a satellite radio that year and heard their single on the indie music channel a bunch. It was catchy, good stuff.

Yep. Used to bump into them all the time at "The Bar" as we used to call John and Peter's. Home base for just about all the bands I was in. And Ween too there. Loved it when they would announce a surprise show at JPs. They still did it in the 2000s. They'd announce and you would see people at the show that night who flew in from Oregon etc... love it

Yeah we went to Ocean Grove yesterday. Sunny until 2pm then off n on rain... but we got a nice window of sun again from 3 to 5! Then driving home the storm centered down on Trenton as I was driving through back home to Bucks Co. Intense!

Oh I. Got caught in it too! Stopped under a bridge

Happened a few time this summer driving and look up and see black cloud death storm

I think we just beat the flood on that stretch of Rt 29 in the really low ground area of Trenton.

Gee, I saw these guys with cold blood open for the grateful Dead in early 1970. I remember not liking them, and listening to this cut I realize what a 16-year-old know nothing I was

How was the light show?

The dead were backed up by cold blood and lighthouse, two bands Bill Graham was managing. Unfortunately I missed the grateful Dead / love/allman (brother) joy show a month or two later

The light show was fantastic, still Joshua lights at the time I'm pretty sure later became Joe's lights but they were always good

I miss light shows

Remember, do NOT take bowling balls with you if you are going hiking in an area where bears are present

Yes bowling in woods is hazardous with bears in the area

This canned heat song is a good approximation for what just about every band in concert sounded like in 1969 and 1970 or so

Here's a local light show story. Back in 1970 some friends of mine were in a high school band called pure hell still a good name. We had a buddy doing amateur versions of The late show... Overhead projectors, film loops, flashing different colored lights. Pure hell played in South River high School for a dance and during the light show The guy running it put on a stag loop. And it was shining on the ceiling, people having sex, all the kids yelling and stuff. The proctors shut down the show and

It became a big incident in the local papers, it was referred to as the blue movie incident in the old New Brunswick daily home news as they covered the racy story
