Hi everyone! Hi KPC! "Musica alla puttanesca" = "Whores' style music" (or "Music the way whores like it"). Italians always make everything so suggestive. It's actually a term applied to food; it means a red (tomato-based) sauce with a mix of sweet bell pepper slices, capers, and crushed red pepper flakes ("pepperoncini" in Italian). Like "al forno" which means "cooked in a (usually wood-burning) oven" or "oven-style".

Sorry sorry -- I'm somewhat wrong: no sweet bell peppers slices usually, instead it's a red sauce with pepperoncini, slices Kalamata olives, sometimes capers, and -- secret weapon ingredient -- anchovies (or anchovy paste).
