Ha indeed. Actually think I've only seen METZ live once, before I'd barely heard of them. Back in 2012 opening for Archers of Loaf in Toronto. Though it wasn't at The Opera House, it was at the Phoenix Concert Theatre.

I would like to see them. I think they're better with each release.

I’m forcing myself to tune out, so I can tune back in for hour 3. Comets On Fire circa 2006 were right where I was at!

Also, I may have seen Destroyer at the Opera House.

DSM, just to let you know the set is more Six Organs than Comets on Fire but the collaborative stuff is kinda bonkers.

Ben Chansey back then with them would do hog wild antics live, look forward to it!

Yes I'd definitely like to see again. I was there for Archers so barely remember their set, plus it was so early on. I imagine their shows have only gotten better since then.

Nice, caught New Pornographers a couple times, but think Destroyer was only with them the first time. Wish I could recall other gigs I attended at Opera House, I know there were a few. Time to sort through a envelope full of old ticket stubs.

I'll have to ask my friend I went with, as we had only arrived in Toronto a few hours prior and it is all a blur!

I might go to my first show since early 2020 on Friday. Outdoors. We'll see.

So many shows I saw over 10 years ago feel like a blur. Wish I remembered them more clearly. Which show is that? I could possibly handle an outdoor show, but haven't had to make that decision yet. For sure not indoor though.

There is an indoor show I would maybe like to go to at the end of September and I was delighted when the headliner informed me the evening will be "proof of vaccination to attend."

Ah yes, I really hope that's the requirement when the first show pops up I wanna catch.

The Brooklyn show's advantages = free, outdoors, on the "near" end of Brooklyn, over by 10 and I can always leave if I'm uncomfortable.

Negatives = driving into NY on a Friday after work.

Oh yes I heard some of these blackalicious tracks on wprb a few weeks ago. They went right on my wprb finds playlist

The others were release and makes you feel that way

I have a funny story about trying to run to this song. It is so great but the lack of consistent rhythm made it impossible to find a stride to.

@Rob, the tomatoes are growing well this year. 🍅 IMO the best way to eat them is by themselves with a little salt & pepper. But in a sandwich they're good too.

I had a couple of terrific tomato sandwiches over the weekend. Our sungolds are delivering!

They used to have an abington location and their sandwich rolls was hands down the most incredible sandwich roll I have ever gotten in my life. I'm an eater, and a "long-lunch-break-to-go-40-minutes-out-of-the-way-for-a-sandwich" kind of guy. And in 10 years I haven't had a sandwich roll that was this amazing

Due for more groceries over here so it's delivery tonight. Indian food on its way. A dish I haven't tried before. Florets of cauliflower & potatoes simmered in a delicious masala of poppy seeds, clove & fennel. with naan on the side
