the_dude 4:22:53 PM
Also love that Aye Nako track Particle Mace you played last week, first heard em on prb and that's a good album
Tim (host) 4:23:43 PM
Yeah she mako is pretty cool
Tim (host) 4:23:50 PM

-ᎷяMΔᏞᏨØИᎢΞNᎢ-💀 4:39:34 PM
this show is… Nice, Nice, Very Nice!!!!
Tim (host) 4:40:35 PM
Thanks Mr m I think they copped the lyric from Kurt Vonnegut
Tim (host) 4:41:13 PM
Also where the frig is the sun hurricane bagging beach time
Tim (host) 4:42:09 PM
Stupid hurricane!
-ᎷяMΔᏞᏨØИᎢΞNᎢ-💀 4:45:03 PM
There has to be a way to squash a hurricane. What are humans doing??
dan Cochrane 4:47:15 PM
Utopia, Ambrosia the only two familiar, but that’s why I love this show. 70’s Chicagoland had a FM Triad Guide show, just this sort of stuff. Much later called “space music”. It never gets old.
Tim (host) 4:47:58 PM
Yeah they need to start to work on was to break up / destroy hurricane we can't have this interrupt omg beach ⛱️ time for a stupid hurricane
-ᎷяMΔᏞᏨØИᎢΞNᎢ-💀 4:49:22 PM
I almost never go to the beach anymore #Adulting?
dan Cochrane 4:49:51 PM
This can’t be ignored. While talking about Woodstock you said, “Jethro Tull”. Should we assume it was something you don’t believe? Can’t imagine them at a venue featuring Sha Na Na (whom I loathe). Zappa sure!
Tim (host) 4:50:33 PM
@ Dan man wish I could hear space gold show there was a cool prog show on a Pocono mountain college station apparently there is still a prog scene
Tim (host) 4:51:54 PM
Yeah I never seen anywhere about j till backing out of Woodstock so skeptical but who knows
dan Cochrane 4:52:15 PM
Upstate NY Sat. nights 3 hours of Stuck in the Psychedelic Era with...The Hermit. I’d email him requests during the broadcast. NPR affiliate.
Tim (host) 4:52:35 PM
Oh Mr m you have to catch some beach sunsets good for sanity
dan Cochrane 4:52:56 PM
That show is still around but no streaming, bummer.
Tim (host) 4:53:12 PM
Dang
dan Cochrane 4:54:14 PM
Did ELP record 50% or more covers, classical of course?
Tim (host) 4:55:56 PM
Don't know that one hmmm
dan Cochrane 4:56:13 PM
Strawberry remind me of Gentle Giant, and that Italian prog band, their 3 initials, PFM maybe.
dan Cochrane 4:56:35 PM
Strawbs!
Tim (host) 4:57:22 PM
Yeah loved this album when I found it
dan Cochrane 4:58:24 PM
What would we do without Mellotron, especially debut King Crimson!
Tim (host) 4:59:32 PM
Yeah big fan of the mellotron and the Moog syyh too
dan Cochrane 5:00:35 PM
Is that pic Suzy Quattro? She opened for ELO their 2nd album tour. IF was middle band. Auditorium Theater Chicago. Only show that the PA music between acts, was way better than all 3 bands.
Tim (host) 5:01:39 PM
How bout that yup it's suzi
dan Cochrane 5:02:43 PM
Double rainbow LOL! Damn! I saw Godspell twice, with Joe Montanga.
Tim (host) 5:02:53 PM
That sounds like a good show did Eli have their space ship ? Didn't they used to have that on stage back then?
dan Cochrane 5:03:03 PM
His big break!
Tim (host) 5:03:16 PM
Man you saw all the good stuff
Tim (host) 5:03:33 PM
How was if live?
dan Cochrane 5:03:54 PM
Yes, and Tull the most, never missed them.
Tim (host) 5:04:41 PM
Lucky!
dan Cochrane 5:05:18 PM
They we good, having a blast too. ELO was bare bones, just Ludwig Van with fingers in his ears on bass brim. Poor guy!
dan Cochrane 5:05:45 PM
Bass drum. Keep changing words.
-ᎷяMΔᏞᏨØИᎢΞNᎢ-💀 5:06:27 PM
DJ Tim, gotta find a great vacation spot for some beach sunsets! Maybe in a few years. After the pandemic.
dan Cochrane 5:07:15 PM
You know still the best show I ever saw was free WXRT show Wilco still with Jay Bennett rest his talented soul. Outdoors, huge crowd.
Tim (host) 5:07:28 PM
Yeah Mr m pandemic is crapfest beach sunsets are essential!
Tim (host) 5:08:21 PM
Wow I like Wilco but I can't think of them as being better then Tull live
sean burns 5:08:50 PM
First three tall albums were among my favorites. They lost me with the stage show for thick as a brick. They would be raving on playing maniacally and all of a sudden stop everything for a comedy skit or weird interlude... I remember somebody coming out with a ringing phone for Ian Anderson, and a cop at one point came out... Totally killed the vibe of the music each time never saw them again
Corage Mike 5:08:59 PM
Super… is this part of Day by Day?
Tim (host) 5:10:03 PM
@ Mike nope this is a band called space opera ..but they fit together
Corage Mike 5:10:28 PM
For sure. Made it even better to me.
dan Cochrane 5:10:45 PM
Just apples and oranges I guess. Los Lobos always terrific, surprising covers too. When I look at old Tull live YouTube Ian Anderson just looks like he’s hamming it up. Actually John Hiatt too.
Tim (host) 5:11:21 PM
@ Sean same they were really cool. But yeah after a while meh but I guess that happens with every band
dan Cochrane 5:11:24 PM
For the cameras I guess.
sean burns 5:11:25 PM
Hamming it up is a good description
Corage Mike 5:11:38 PM
Tull was my first concert 75! They may have been touring for the greatest hits album .
dan Cochrane 5:12:02 PM
Martin Barre though! My god he rocks hard.
Tim (host) 5:12:30 PM
Yeah I be seen Los lobos closed with cinnamon girl it was great
sean burns 5:12:50 PM
That's true The whole band kicked ass. Super heavy at times, which was kind of what made it so weird when they'd stop everything they have a conversation with an English Bobby.
dan Cochrane 5:13:24 PM
Oh I saw Passion Play whole thing, also Minstrel in Gallery tour. Passion Play, and thick as a brick only two I listen to now.
Corage Mike 5:14:39 PM
Forgot about Passion Play. Got it on cassette as a Xmas gift. Cool kid.
dan Cochrane 5:15:30 PM
I like the story about Eagles overhearing Tull in hotel room, using Tull chords for hotel california. Because Tull never party’d.
Tim (host) 5:16:17 PM
@ Dan never heard that ain't that a corker
dan Cochrane 5:16:22 PM
We used to know the Tull chord progression I think.
Tim (host) 5:16:37 PM
I did hear Tull was straight edge
dan Cochrane 5:17:30 PM
Zeppelin paid off band they lifted Stairway to...from too.
Corage Mike 5:17:36 PM
Songs about sheep…figures.
Tim (host) 5:17:51 PM
Oh yeah spirit
dan Cochrane 5:18:38 PM
I think only cover Tull played was Bach, Boree.
dan Cochrane 5:19:31 PM
Spirit is amazing band. Jo Jo Gunne after was pretty lame in comparison
Tim (host) 5:20:41 PM
Yeah spirit was great didn't one of the guys in spirit have a am radio hit?
Tim (host) 5:21:10 PM
I think the song was thunder island
dan Cochrane 5:21:34 PM
Last show I saw upstate NY was Warren Haynes, his big soul review. Amazing talent that guy.
dan Cochrane 5:22:29 PM
Run, run, run, Jo Jo Gunne, spirit guy.
Tim (host) 5:22:34 PM
I can't even remember my last show
dan Cochrane 5:23:00 PM
That’s what playlists are for.
dan Cochrane 5:23:37 PM
Phase shifter era. Everyone used it.
Tim (host) 5:23:53 PM
Oh I meant last live show ..but that too!
dan Cochrane 5:24:20 PM
Now that we’re alone...
Tim (host) 5:24:21 PM
Yeah cool effect
Tim (host) 5:25:37 PM
Good mellotron on this one
dan Cochrane 5:26:05 PM
Some YouTube list has dark side of the moon as #1 prog album. Ridiculous.
Tim (host) 5:26:55 PM
What is your number one prog album
dan Cochrane 5:28:37 PM
I think PF they’re first album is way the hell better example. Dark side is like their Rumours album, Fleetwoods. My #1 court of the crimson king, hands down.
dan Cochrane 5:29:32 PM
One list has Close to the edge as best prog album.
Tim (host) 5:32:01 PM
Yeah court is epic I listen to to our children children children by moodiest alot but yeah I think crimson would be number one but it really is all subjective
dan Cochrane 5:32:26 PM
Have yo seen, heard this international group with Rachel Flowers, do two part Karn evil #9, on YouTube. Rachel knew Keith Emerson, she’s blind. She plays the keyboard and guitar on it. It’s unreal how good they are.
Tim (host) 5:33:48 PM
Nope I will definitely check it out
dan Cochrane 5:33:48 PM
I can’t listen to Moody Blues anymore, way, way too pretentious to me. Loved them once.
dan Cochrane 5:34:33 PM
The singer, each instrument in different location.
Tim (host) 5:34:35 PM
Yeah lotta people say same think I'm still into it though
dan Cochrane 5:35:44 PM
That poem they do, “breath deep the gathering gloom, etc.” epitome of pretentious.
dan Cochrane 5:36:26 PM
This sounds awesome! In some damp basement.
Tim (host) 5:36:50 PM
Yeah those old 45s are so good
Ambrose Hughes 5:49:14 PM
Hi Tim. Great sounds!
dan Cochrane 5:49:37 PM
Say, your show reminds me of a great Sunday show, used to be on wevl, Memphis, A Fistfull Of Records, used good, bad, ugly music for show theme. He had great capt. beefheart tribute when Don Vliet passed.
Tim (host) 5:50:55 PM
Hmm never heard of well will have to check that out too
Tim (host) 5:51:10 PM
Wevl
Tim (host) 5:53:23 PM
Good to know about these stations reg radio churns out such crapola it's a shame
-ᎷяMΔᏞᏨØИᎢΞNᎢ-💀 5:55:19 PM
DJ Tim, many thanks for the very enjoyable playlist and show! Good on ya! Kind regards to you, Sir!
Tim (host) 5:58:04 PM
Thanks cya Mr m
