Thanks for "The Haskel Stomp"! Lester Flatt & the Nashvilloe Grasss made some great straight-ahead bluegrass after the Flatt & Scruggs split. It's mighty fine to hear some of it again.

@Richard from Rocky Hill.... Couldn't agree more. Such a nice mixture of music. It means so much to me. I missed this show during the summer. I've been listening since the 80s to John's show. During the Summer he used to have friends do the show for him. I hope he does that next year while he is off.

I've had that song in my head on and off for years without having any idea of what it was or where it came from. I guess John's Island is similar to the colors off the Georgia coast with its own culture. But I don't know how a white boy from Central Jersey learned it, maybe my nuns taught it to me and Grammar school!

I saw Loudon Wainwright on a M*A*S*H repeat a few days ago. I knew he played a recurring character on that show, but only just discovered he was named after Groucho Marx' "Animal Crackers" character, Captain Spaulding!
