Sonny Boy III (host) 6:25:49 PM
Hope I can keep it up!
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:30:07 PM
I loved the Les Paul & Mary Ford.
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:30:59 PM
thanks!
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:31:01 PM
Do you have any Pete Seeger?
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:32:07 PM
Would you accept some Mike Seeger in the New Lost City Ramblers?
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:32:20 PM
I've got that coming later
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:32:42 PM
I'm playing you on blue tooth through the car stereo. I'm headed out soon & can't get the signal clear these days when I drive.
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:33:07 PM
:(
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:33:09 PM
Sure Mike Seeger is fine
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:33:54 PM
Not your fault I'm on the fringe of your signal.
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:34:50 PM
Western Montgomery County in Pa. You mix in with 103.3 from Lancaster Pa.
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:35:01 PM
Thanks for "The Haskel Stomp"! Lester Flatt & the Nashvilloe Grasss made some great straight-ahead bluegrass after the Flatt & Scruggs split. It's mighty fine to hear some of it again.
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:35:49 PM
I'm loving this song by John Fahey.
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:36:05 PM
..."Nashville" ... where's Spellcheck when ya REALLY need it ...?
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:36:33 PM
Thanks Vaughn and Richard both!
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:37:49 PM
I love the fact that this Station covers just about every musical Genre' that there is out there. Such a nice diverse mix.
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:37:49 PM
@ Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz Yes, John Fahey was truly great, wonderful to hear him on the show. Thanks, SBW IIIrd !
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:38:42 PM
I like the scratchy vinyl. Nice to hear it on FM.
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:41:05 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill.... Couldn't agree more. Such a nice mixture of music. It means so much to me. I missed this show during the summer. I've been listening since the 80s to John's show. During the Summer he used to have friends do the show for him. I hope he does that next year while he is off.
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:42:09 PM
Glad to be able to spin records for you all back in the studio again!
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:42:41 PM
Yes I love vinyl. Such warmth it brings.
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:44:30 PM
You are doing such a great show Sonny Boy III. Thankyou for all these awesome songs. I love the Blues show you do also. Great work!
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:46:11 PM
Hold Modal Rounders. I love this... sounds great.
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:46:40 PM
A typo of mine! "Holy"
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:47:17 PM
I thought so but wasn't sure.
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:47:46 PM
@ Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz Yes, indeed! I'm a Rounders fan forever. More thanks to SBW IIIrd !
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:49:10 PM
I think Sonny Boy III should host this show during summer when John is off on break.
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:52:11 PM
Ramblin Jack Elliot
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:53:03 PM
Indeed -- though credited on this comp without the epithet ramblin
Sonny Boy III (host) 6:53:37 PM
Dylan writes in Chronicles about how bad he wanted to sound just like Woody Guthrie before he realized that Jack Elliott was better than he'd ever be at it
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:54:41 PM
I remember seeing Ramblin Jack Elliot at A summer festival long ago.
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 6:55:10 PM
Wanna say it was Phila. Folk Fest.
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:57:42 PM
Lively New England-style contra dance medley here. :-))
sean burns 7:11:47 PM
Huh I know that Mama lacuma Vista song somehow, and have no idea how I learned it... As a child somewhere?
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:12:25 PM
interesting! It was children singing it for sure. John's Island south Carolina
sean burns 7:13:50 PM
I've had that song in my head on and off for years without having any idea of what it was or where it came from. I guess John's Island is similar to the colors off the Georgia coast with its own culture. But I don't know how a white boy from Central Jersey learned it, maybe my nuns taught it to me and Grammar school!
sean burns 7:14:30 PM
Supposed to say the gullahs off the Georgia coast
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:14:45 PM
Got it! Fascinating
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:37:20 PM
Well, my door's open, but there ain't nobody outside ...
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:37:50 PM
There' ain
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:37:51 PM
hehehe
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:38:24 PM
Interestingly I think Dylan sings it as "open the Door homer" despite the title, a reference to an old vaudeville bit
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:39:36 PM
There ain't no port, fair OR ugly, on this here stretch of the Millstone River. And there ain't no conventions a-goin' on, leastwise sure none that I can see or hear ...
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:40:35 PM
;-))
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 7:40:56 PM
Love Fairport Convention
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 7:42:11 PM
Wow! Neil Young
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 7:42:35 PM
I love Neil Young. Sounds great.
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:43:56 PM
:)
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 7:46:27 PM
Love Richard & Linda Thompson
Vaughn Skywatcher Heintz 7:46:52 PM
Thnx, this was such a great mix of music.
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:47:07 PM
thanks for listening!
jimbeaux 7:56:09 PM
Thanks SBWiii!
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:56:33 PM

dan Cochrane 7:56:55 PM

David Shortell 7:57:24 PM
I just found out about this special program a minute ago. Will it be archived?
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:57:33 PM
I mentioned that on air Dan!
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:57:42 PM
Unfortunately no David -- one time only
dan Cochrane 7:58:21 PM
Sorry sir, I missed that. Terrific selections all.
Sonny Boy III (host) 7:58:29 PM
Thanks! :)
dan Cochrane 7:59:58 PM
How long before similar covid blues Classic is penned? Bob Dylan said Vol. 2 was coming, did it?
David Shortell 8:00:13 PM
I saw Loudon Wainwright on a M*A*S*H repeat a few days ago. I knew he played a recurring character on that show, but only just discovered he was named after Groucho Marx' "Animal Crackers" character, Captain Spaulding!
Richard from Rocky Hill 8:00:26 PM
Outstanding show, SBW IIIrd, thank you!
dan Cochrane 8:00:44 PM
Did he have a beard?
dan Cochrane 8:01:30 PM
Alda was doing Groucho the entire series. Obviously.
