Try it! For a long time i had a sun ra track as my phone alarm. Now it's usually 103.3 on my trusty clock radio. Or my pet rooster, who ignores daylight savings.

I had a roommate that used the college station on his clock radio as his morning alarm. Until that day that the transmitter was down and there was just a quiet hiss....

when I was in college, the church bells that marked the hours needed to be repaired, so they switched to playing a digital recording of church bells from the tower

the singer on this cumbia track is ~6 years old

'Little is known about Aurita other than her cutting some killer records for Discos Fuentes in Medellin in the 1960s. Sounds great Elliot. I remember the debut of Comisar-Tainted Love on Pat Clamour. Around same time Elliot instantly dug up & played the "Coffee Generation" ad with the ELO song in background etc. Chat conversations inspired some cool stuff.

Yes! I just drove in reverse back to the chat that afternoon in January Eliott. Same day as inauguration. Your 2nd to last 12pm show b4 season change. Kurt V, Bowie etc in the visual of the ad. Oh and it was "Coffee Achievers" . The younger people were not drinking enough coffee so the Natl Coffee Association put out that ad or those ads as i read there were more.... apparently out worked.

I think I did my French press water/coffee math wrong, so I'm a little electrified at the moment, or maybe it's just the old school Philly boom bap flow

Good chat that day. Similar thing happened w bourbon but no Vonnegut Bowie ELO ads. It was thought to be a "grandparents " drink by the time of 70s-80s and un-hip. Then bourbon's popularity just skyrocketed in 90 s 2000s onward.

My friend sent me the youtube mashup of Edwin Starr "War" & Slayer "South of Heaven". Wow. So well done. Seamless syncs, Starr's vocals fit perfectly atop Slayer, poignant war and military footage clips underscoring the lyrics. Highly recommended
