Jerry D strikes again! I met Dan Tyminski & the McCoury Brothers when they were in Doylestown to play a friend's party 10 yrs ago or so. Great singer. Great George Clooney impression ha

Brian D 7:37:05 AM
Missed a couple great ones. Heard the last notes of Bela. Love that Dregs sound. My guitar teacher in my teen years turned me on to Steve Morse solo lps. Plus Steve was in every guitar magazine i had. Great player. Joined Kansas for a bit. Then i did not know much about him for a while. And later discovered he was in Deep Purple. Probably the longest running version of Deep Purple at that

Yes he does! He did a day-before Thanksgiving party every year for 40 years until the covid era. Most were at his house w great bands as well. Bur on the 5s and 10s anniversaries he would go all out . That McCoury Brothers / Dan Tyminski was a highlight.

@DTO, I meant to ask: who is that dancer or dance troupe featured at the top of the page? Every week you post a different picture, and they always catch the eye. They seem to reflect performances that express emotional pain.
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 8:09:06 AM
The pianist here is Rainer Brüninghaus, longtime collaborator with Eberhard Weber. We'll be hearing something from his previous group at around 9:40 or so.
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 8:10:19 AM
Exactly, Christine. They are Butoh dancers, a post-apocalyptic dance style out of Japan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butoh
