Yeah, everything's okay! I'm just bummed this wasn't fixed yet! It's filled 2 or 3 bucket-loads of water and made nice big puddle in the back bathroom but thankfully the water didn't reach anything important

@Lizbot, I just checked the weather service forecast for Princeton proper. It's going to be really cold. Here it's "only" going down to 18 on Saturday morning

The noreaster would bring snow changing to rain, for the Princeton area at least, starting Sunday afternoon or evening

@ROb - I know...ughhhhhh. 2/3 of my household has cold air-triggered asthma and the pipes in that back bathroom have a long history of freezing when it gets very cold. Even when it gets a lot less cold than this coming weekend's forecast. The back room and bathroom were built in a crazy way that made it basically impossible to insulate the pipes well. Someone did a hack job when adding these on some time in the mid-century

We did the modifications that were possible years ago after a very bad flooding where both rooms were inundated to the point of having to replace all flooring, drywall, and the washer and dryer. We haven't had a flooding that bad since, but these pipes do freeze way too often.

@Christine - My crazy weather during my show story - well, I have a few from over the years! - but the most recent was last summer when a massive tree fell over onto the power lines directly in front of my house and killed my live broadcast 45 minutes in and of course there was no power here until the wee hours of the morning

Whenever I get pipe leaks, it always seems to be late evening before a major holiday.

I had the idea to sample it for hip hop back in 2007 and then I basically didn't make any rap stuff (at least not silly and/or sample-based) for years and years

The OTHER not as recent extreme weather event that happened during a double-long Doubleplusgood was when I was doing a 6-hour mini-marathon on Halloween night a couple years ago and a TORNADO rolled through Princeton and I had to hole up in the studio until 3 am!

Of course I probably have no proof of having the idea in 2007
