You arent even the slowest-talking DJ on the station. // It's funny. There's a specific regular show/DJ that i just cannot abide, so i need to change the channel for that 2 hour block each week, but its mainly because they play kind of common music, not really up to the WPRB standards of "out there". And their voice is a bit grating too. But i just change the channel. Its not worth berating them about it....

Then there's the organic compound isoamyl acetate. An ester used in food and scent industry for fake banana flavor/ scent (often "flavored" are not flavored, they are merely scented). The term "Banana Oil " is sometimes used, misleadingly, to refer to a solution derived from this compound when used as an artificial flavor. And BONUS it's used in solvents and vaenishes!

I think there is a "real" banana oil as well.

ha. I had to look it up to be sure. I think i WAS thinking of Parley, but palaver seems a little similar. I never heard it used as a nonsense word? Palaver: an improvised conference between two groups, typically those without a shared language or culture.
