Roffle... 5:02:37 PM
Hey Lizbot! The no jacket day was cool foolery.

(Dana K) 5:04:04 PM
for some reason i have a very specific memory of lizbot playing the clientele on one of the first warm days of the year, several years ago, before i started on WPRB
Lizbot (host) 5:04:25 PM
Hey Dana! I am envious! All my currently available clothing is either too warm or too summery. I just layered summer clothes and topped that with a trusty hoodie
Danosaur 5:04:29 PM
Hello, Lizbot!
Lizbot (host) 5:05:28 PM
Hey Mark! I do not know, but man, my mom really tried to convince me that groundhog's word held sway when I was a little kid, so I was always disappointed when more winter happened and Phil lied to us!
Lizbot (host) 5:05:37 PM
Hello Christine!
Lizbot (host) 5:05:45 PM
Hey Danosaur!
Danosaur 5:06:00 PM
Never trust a groundhog
Roffle... 5:06:17 PM

Lizbot (host) 5:06:35 PM
I'm gonna revisit albums I bought and listened to heavily from '96-'99 in this first few songs because I'm in a weird mood and felt like revisiting that time
Roffle... 5:06:48 PM
Except Hobbits!
Lizbot (host) 5:07:01 PM
@Dana - No wonder we're all talking picnics today with this tantalizing spring weather!
mark 5:07:54 PM
this is a great one a little more info on Sean O’Neal please
Lizbot (host) 5:08:13 PM
the green pajamas - a twee/indie thing I hadn't thought about in a long time, but this album used to live in my stereo 23 years ago
Dan Ruccia (1) 5:08:36 PM
Wasn't Sean a WPRB DJ for a minute in the early 2000s or late 90s?
Lizbot (host) 5:10:05 PM
@Danosaur - Srsly. Smarmy smug little deceptive loaves, they are! But I like watching them pop up outta all their little hidey-holes along Kelly Drive in the springtime! It's like whac-a-mole sans violence
Lizbot (host) 5:10:47 PM
And WHAT revisit to late 90s albums in my personal heavy rotation would be complete without LILYS?
Andy Wing 5:11:40 PM
I met Sean and Erin at TAGFest in the late 90's, Wilbo, too.
Lizbot (host) 5:12:36 PM
Hey Dan Ruccia! Yeah, I vaguely remember that. He also used to host a live DJ night at Old City bar La Tazza with my then-neighbor Karen Jagelle, who randomly was the manager of Rob Mazurek's music, which led to Rob Mazurek with Black Goat Ensemble coming from Chicago to sod a live set on Doubleplusgood..which I believe you engineered! It all comes full circle
(Dana K) 5:12:50 PM

DSM 5:15:23 PM
Hiya Lizbot!
Andy Wing 5:15:41 PM
I did the Assunpink Park sound for the evening performers, including Virgil Moorfield.
Lizbot (host) 5:16:12 PM
@Andy - I loved Erin's voice on Flowchart's New Radiolab Ripoff (lil stereolab joke there since Sean was annoyed reviewers often said he was ripping off Stereolab!)
Lizbot (host) 5:16:21 PM
Hey DSM!
Lizbot (host) 5:16:46 PM
@Dana K - Truth. One of the all-time bests!
Lizbot (host) 5:17:24 PM
@Dan R - And that Rob Mazurek recording lives on some dusty DAT in PRB studios to this day!
Roffle... 5:18:36 PM
Wow, when Hammond B3's roamed the earth at will.
Bobby Womok 5:19:08 PM
Hell yeah. Rare Bird 👍
Bobby Womok 5:19:53 PM
Love their track Lonely Street
Lizbot (host) 5:20:07 PM
@Mark - Flowchat was Sean's group. Sometimes Erin Anderson sang on tracks. I think the first time I saw him perform was at a PACMAN (Philadelphia Ambient Collective - Music and Noise) event put together by Aharon Varady...Or a Gate to Moonbase Alpha a the Rotunda - Free show, Free vegan buffet (haha, chef Jeff)! What's not to love about that?
Lizbot (host) 5:20:18 PM
Hello Bobby!
(Dana K) 5:20:35 PM
don't know this band but this song is great. reminds me of my favorite love (the band) songs...
Lizbot (host) 5:20:44 PM
@Roffle - haha, pretty great use of hammond B3 here!
mark 5:21:00 PM
just saw the PRB tweet lizbot did u take photo ?https://twitter.com/wprb
Roffle... 5:21:34 PM
@Lixbot - Totally, just enough and tasty.
Andy Wing 5:23:10 PM
I went to several GTMBA shows when it first started up. I've been to Burning Man with Quentini
Lizbot (host) 5:23:21 PM
@Dana K - Was just listening to Love yesterday! When the weather warms up is when I tend to break out Forever Changes
Lizbot (host) 5:24:17 PM
@Andy - The Great Quentini, with all this contraptions and costumes, and The Red Masque I probably saw at Gate more than any other bands
Andy Wing 5:24:48 PM
Does Aharon still go by "Spaceling". He used to run a mailing list for Philly area performances, etc. He showed me the actual machine, a bare bones Unix box.
Lizbot (host) 5:25:07 PM
@Mark - haha, no! I hadn't seen that photo, but I do like possums! Makes me wanna play Possum Emergency station ID!
Lizbot (host) 5:25:33 PM
false ending
Andy Wing 5:25:58 PM
Quentini has done some amazing art at Burning Man as well as the Regional events, look up "Zark Industries"
mark 5:26:10 PM
haha play that ID if possible:)
Roffle... 5:27:53 PM
I have driven past Burning Man and the roads are lined with cops for fifty miles in every direction.
Andy Wing 5:28:55 PM
They have speed traps set up for even 1mph over the limit on tribal lands, oy!
Lizbot (host) 5:28:59 PM
@Andy - I haven't seen Aharon in years! I remember hanging out on that PACMAN online board in the very early 2000s. Jack Monaghan from Tremolo, and whatshisface (used to play sitar) were on there a lot!
Bud Burroughs 5:29:04 PM
Cheer-Ax! Hooray!
Lizbot (host) 5:29:08 PM
Hey Bud!
Lizbot (host) 5:29:29 PM
New Cheer-Accident album drops TOMORROW, BTW!
Lizbot (host) 5:29:38 PM
@Mark - I'll see what I can do!
Andy Wing 5:29:43 PM
I vaguely remember Jack. Also DJ Roper, Seth and the whole Astrocade crew.
Bud Burroughs 5:29:52 PM
Yeah, I’m sure I’ll need to get that one too
(Dana K) 5:30:15 PM
wonderful psych-y show this evening 😍
Lizbot (host) 5:30:16 PM
@Andy - Yes! And there was that sort of proto-streaming ambient music channel linked to PACMAN!
Lizbot (host) 5:30:21 PM
@Dana - Thanks!
Roffle... 5:30:26 PM
@Andy - Yes! The tribal cops were out the most. Especially down by Pyramid Lake.
jimbeaux 5:30:40 PM
This is magnificent! Cheer channeling the Who and Nazz.
Andy Wing 5:30:44 PM
Ed Yang, Motoko Shimizu and Gene Lew, lot's of memories...
Michael Y 5:30:54 PM
Is it me, or does that drummer sound like Keith Moon?
(Dana K) 5:31:15 PM
if i can make a request: "loan your loneliness" by gruff rhys, or anything by him or SFA
Andy Wing 5:31:25 PM
Sing like Keith Moon? lol, "Don't Worry Baby"
(Dana K) 5:31:36 PM
jimbeaux, i also got the nazz vibe
Andy Wing 5:32:27 PM
Moon in a nun habit being chased by Ringo in 200 Motels, so wrong.
Bud Burroughs 5:32:43 PM
This is one of the few bands that can convincingly jump between avant-prog and jangly pop
mark 5:32:54 PM
thanks for that ID :) !
Roffle... 5:33:25 PM
200 Motels! lol Masterpiece if ever there was one. :)
Lizbot (host) 5:34:36 PM
There ya go, Mark!
jimbeaux 5:35:19 PM
R O K Y !
Lizbot (host) 5:35:58 PM
@Michael Y - Hi! Hmmm, I can see that. most Cheer-Accident drummer is done by the band's founder and only consistent member (other than Jeff Liebsher) Thymme Jones!
Brian D 5:36:21 PM
Yay Roky! He's not just for Halloween anymore! And thank you for not saying Rokey ha
Lizbot (host) 5:36:21 PM
Hey JImbeaux! I imagine you were out enjoying Proto-Spring today!
DSM 5:37:42 PM
Proto spring was much needed today, even if we go back to winter, I am re-charged
Lizbot (host) 5:37:53 PM
@Brian D - haha, one time I slipped up and said ROKEY and a caller called and was angry! That was like 18 years ago and I still remember!
Roffle... 5:37:56 PM
Proto-Spring! lmao Test tube weather, brought to you by every oil company ever.
mark 5:38:09 PM
like the use of “word” choogle !
Lizbot (host) 5:38:55 PM
@Andy - Now I'm blanking on the guy who played sitar in that PACMAN/GTMBA late 90s/early 2000s scene...Ben...? Morris?
DSM 5:39:14 PM
Roffle, I ran thru a gasoline sprinkler today. I love Proto spring lol
Lizbot (host) 5:40:03 PM
@mark- sometimes you just gotta choogle
Lizbot (host) 5:40:24 PM
@Roffle - Basically. I'm enjoying it but feeling weird!
jimbeaux 5:41:01 PM
Proto-spring was good...windy bike commute then moving lumber all afternoon. Ready for bedddd....
mark 5:41:16 PM
when u look up use of choogle it uses a review of a roky concert
Lizbot (host) 5:42:10 PM
@jimbeaux - Time to don a light and colorful homemade sweater now that the temps are dipping again!
Lizbot (host) 5:42:28 PM
@Mark - oooh, perfect! See, there was some hidden logic in my choice!
Rob from Maryland 5:42:30 PM
Rudie, what's up??!!
Roffle... 5:43:02 PM
I also check my brain cells at the door to bathe in the sun or pleasant wind. It's our nature. Hoping for the best is still on the obtainable.
Lizbot (host) 5:43:16 PM
@Dana - Next track I'm gonna play reminds me of you!
Lizbot (host) 5:43:54 PM
@Bud - For real. Only Cheer-Accident can pull that off consistently! I like both their pop and their prog equally
mark 5:44:23 PM
@lizbot: the lattice of coincidence- sometimes you think of a plate of shrimp and …
Addie Plum 🐍 5:45:15 PM
Heyyyyyyy
Rob from Maryland 5:45:16 PM
Hello everyone
Lizbot (host) 5:45:32 PM
@mark - it's shrimps all the way to the sky
(Dana K) 5:45:38 PM
I had started cooking dinner but I had to come back for my BICYCLES
Lizbot (host) 5:45:42 PM
Hello Addie!! How's the kid!?
Lizbot (host) 5:45:52 PM
Hey Rob! How're the birds?!
Lizbot (host) 5:46:07 PM
@Dana - haha, I KNEW this would pull you back in!
Rob from Maryland 5:46:18 PM
Hi Lizbot. Birds aren't real doncha know
(Dana K) 5:46:23 PM
I don’t mind being predictable!
Lizbot (host) 5:46:31 PM
Desperate Bicycles sing-along!
Roffle... 5:47:15 PM
Lets get red dial! Or is that just on my side?
Rob from Maryland 5:47:18 PM
But I did see and hear an adult Red-shouldered Hawk in the nearby park on my morning walk. There is a pair nesting nearby
Lizbot (host) 5:47:27 PM
@Rob - So I've heard. They charge on wires. Explains why my pet birds know all my secrets - storing and transmitting them day and night
Lizbot (host) 5:47:46 PM
@Dana - haha, yeah, well I can't play Desperate Bicycles without thinking of you!
(Dana K) 5:47:46 PM
When I was much younger I had Smokescreen on a mix CD followed immediately by “Fish Fry” by Big Black. So I kind of always expect to hear that next. (This is probably better though)
Rob from Maryland 5:48:07 PM
@Lizbot, yup! Your "conure" is a small mobile intelligent unit, always fully charged
Addie Plum 🐍 5:48:23 PM
Hey Lizbot! The kid is great! Sitting here with me right now enjoying the show while we wait for dinner. She says she’s gonna draw you some more art.
Roffle... 5:49:29 PM
@Addie - Lizart? Reptilian art? :)
Roffle... 5:50:41 PM
Finger paints on your snake would sell. Just sayin'
Addie Plum 🐍 5:50:43 PM
@roffle last time was a dragon with lots of speakers on it.
Lizbot (host) 5:50:43 PM
@Rob - See, he IS intelligent. That's what aviculture websites REALLY mean when they say conures are smart...smart like my iPhone. Spying on me and reporting to those who will listen how many cuttlebones and sprigs of millet I buy on a monthly basis. This will somehow be used in my downfall eventually
Addie Plum 🐍 5:51:05 PM
Omg snake slither paints would be sooooo cool
Lizbot (host) 5:51:34 PM
@Dana K - Ah, yes, the beloved mix burning its track order into one's brain. More than familiar with that phenomenon!
Roffle... 5:51:36 PM
@Addie - you could so do it. lol
Addie Plum 🐍 5:51:47 PM
@roffle she was just talking about letting the snake crawl across her iPad drawing app.
Lizbot (host) 5:52:02 PM
@Addie - Oh my god, I love her! Tell her THANK YOU! She is the best!
Roffle... 5:52:18 PM
@Addie - Now that cool too! Awesome!
Roffle... 5:53:11 PM
Great minds eh? :)
Lizbot (host) 5:54:28 PM
@Addie / Roffle - iPads are merely warming pads for our cold-blooded friends
Roffle... 5:56:05 PM
So true Lizbot! Cats are quick learners on that front as well. Little buggers!
Lizbot (host) 6:01:55 PM
@Mark - To answer yr question from way earlier in the chat - Sean O'Neal was a Philly DJ and electronic musician/producer whose band Flowchart began in the mid-90s and went through the early 2000s. Sean passed away in 2020. I played a little flowchart retrospective that week
Danosaur 6:01:57 PM
Wow! You don't hear many songs about burning witches.
Roffle... 6:02:28 PM
Ingmar Bergman's triumphal film imho.
Lizbot (host) 6:02:29 PM
@Danosaur - true! Also, the ending of the Seventh Seal film is one of my favorite endings to any movie ever
Lizbot (host) 6:02:36 PM
@ROffle - Truth!
(Dana K) 6:03:17 PM
I looooove this song. It’s making chopping peppers much more dramatic
Lizbot (host) 6:04:34 PM
@Dana K - Excellent. The peppers will meet their death tonight.
Roffle... 6:04:39 PM
Pepper choppin' tune! :)
Lizbot (host) 6:05:01 PM
here's more contemplative springtime pepper-choppin' music
Danosaur 6:05:42 PM
Is that an oboe?
(Dana K) 6:06:08 PM
There was a tiny green pepper baby growing inside my red pepper.
Roffle... 6:06:10 PM
Piccolo's are so under represented!
mark 6:06:45 PM
thanks ! i kinda remember you playing him in the past
Lizbot (host) 6:06:52 PM
@Dana K - I love chomping those tender baby peppers! Even better than baby celery (the ONLY good celery, imho)
Danosaur 6:06:53 PM
These music sounds like it's part of a movie montage.
Roffle... 6:07:16 PM
Dana K - Those are little gems!
Lizbot (host) 6:07:17 PM
@Danosaur - Astor Piazzolla def creates that atmosphere!
Lizbot (host) 6:07:33 PM
@mark - no problem! yeah, check out more flowchart when you can
Danosaur 6:08:18 PM
I like to listen to music that makes me feel like I'm in a cartoon or a movie. It's really fun when you're driving.
Lizbot (host) 6:09:49 PM
@Danosaur - Yes! Probably one of the many reasons I love Piazzolla...along with the DRAMA of this music. Saw a great Piazzolla concert in a church in NW philly once
mark 6:09:56 PM
@danosaur regarding burning witches ever see the radiohead burn the witch video ? animated version of wicker man
Danosaur 6:10:02 PM
Carl Stalling or the band, CHAI are good for that cartoon feel.
Danosaur 6:10:25 PM
I haven't, Mark. Sounds intense.
mark 6:11:40 PM
it’s really good referred you as creepiest bob thr builder episode ever
Lizbot (host) 6:11:55 PM
This band Tadzio from Philly features a singer I just saw live in a church in fishtown last week - Shaina Kapeluck. Channeling those Sandy Denny vibes
Brian D 6:11:55 PM
Astor! Beautiful!
Lizbot (host) 6:12:20 PM
@Mark - Ooh, I gotta see that for Wicker Man content
Lizbot (host) 6:13:00 PM
@Mark - Still haven't shown the kid Wicker Man even though she loves folk horror cuz she'll be freaked out by the innkeeper's daughter part! ha
mark 6:13:37 PM

mark 6:14:23 PM
britt eklund is great as as willow & willows song is fantastic music
Lizbot (host) 6:14:25 PM
@Danosaur - These days the daughter of Allison Anders (one of my fav directors), Tiffany, has been selecting songs for soundtracks for loads of TV and movies. Jealous!
Addie Plum 🐍 6:16:07 PM
I reeeeaallly like this track
Lizbot (host) 6:16:58 PM
@Addie - Glad you're digging it! The Tadzio or this current track, Saint Abdullah?
Roffle... 6:17:11 PM
R Roffle...6:16 PM Back in the day me and a friend used to cast and sound track for LOTR as a fun game long before Peter Jackson did it.
Addie Plum 🐍 6:17:26 PM
I meant the Tadzio. But this one is lovely as well!
Lizbot (host) 6:18:24 PM
@Addie - Shaina is great live too! First show I went to indoors since pandemic began because the booker, Fire Museum Presents, keeps everyone distanced and audience size small!
Addie Plum 🐍 6:19:20 PM
I’m due to see Kishi Bashi next month. Was supposed to see them in March 2020! This is finally the make up show.
Addie Plum 🐍 6:21:06 PM
So that’ll be my first post (ish) pandemic show
Lizbot (host) 6:21:08 PM
@Addie - I asked for refunds for a lot of shows after multiple reschedulings, many of which were no longer conducive to my schedule. I happened to buy tickets to a buncha shows shortly before the pandemic! - Lilys reunion show, Bikini Kill, TMBG, King Crimson, The Residents doing all of God In Three Persons, Bang On a Can LongPlay festival in Brooklyn...there are more, those are just the ones that come to mind!
Addie Plum 🐍 6:21:37 PM
Oh man, so many missed shows!
dan Cochrane 6:21:42 PM
Hey Liz, it’s that time of year again! I’m Fed Ex ing a double filet o fish, and Shamrock shake to you. Enjoy!
dan Cochrane 6:25:46 PM
God, my favorite! U da best.
Lizbot (host) 6:25:50 PM
Oh Dave Thomas you absolute marble-mouth. Good thing this album is too great to matter that these lyrics are indecipherable
Lizbot (host) 6:25:55 PM
Hi Dan C!
Brian D 6:26:04 PM
UBU !
mark 6:26:41 PM
liking the descriptions of the lizbot set break activities can’t wait until the next one :)
dan Cochrane 6:26:50 PM
Dub Housing?..
Lizbot (host) 6:27:27 PM
@Brian D - Indeed! Did I ever tell you that my mother-in-law was buds with this band? My husband has some old postcard exchanges between his mom and Dave Thomas from 40 years ago! Saw that when we were first dating and was impressed
dan Cochrane 6:27:50 PM
Oh yea first album. I love Oh Cathrine from tenement year.
Lizbot (host) 6:29:04 PM
@Dan C - Ooooh, I hope that shake holds up! I hear it's made of indestructible seaweed extracts!
Brian D 6:29:06 PM
Dungen!
Lizbot (host) 6:29:14 PM
@Dan C - Thanks!
Elspeth Abel Slater 6:29:35 PM
Yay Dungen!!
dan Cochrane 6:29:41 PM

Lizbot (host) 6:30:35 PM
Hey Pethie!
dan Cochrane 6:30:40 PM
Fed Ex first gives it a blast of alpha waves, lid off.
Elspeth Abel Slater 6:30:47 PM
Hola Lizbot!
Lizbot (host) 6:31:13 PM
@Peth - I love your dress pattern updates! What did you wear for False Spring today?
Lizbot (host) 6:31:41 PM
@Dan C - Excellent . Be sure to alter its DNA first! As long as its green like the bagels and beer!
Elspeth Abel Slater 6:32:32 PM
I had no idea it would be so mild so I had on a very Autumnal paisley in a heavy blend…phooey!
dan Cochrane 6:33:44 PM
Liz, others, check out deep focus lens on YouTube, a brilliant woman doing film criticism. She’s terrific, just happened on her.
Lizbot (host) 6:34:08 PM
@Elspeth - Aw, dang! You will surely get many other opportunities to express springtime optimism through fabric patterns with the upcoming False Spring, Part II: The ReThaw-ening, Proto-Spring Part 12, and Real Spring
Elspeth Abel Slater 6:34:26 PM
I’ll be ready for all of it!
Addie Plum 🐍 6:34:43 PM

Brian D 6:36:21 PM
that's DOON-yen or close to it. I think it means orchard or grove in Swedish
dan Cochrane 6:36:30 PM
Ok, I had one shot of Wild Turkey. Guilty
Lizbot (host) 6:36:34 PM
@Addie - How was your drive back to VT? Still snow on the ground there I assume! Did you catch any of our unseasonably warm weather here? It's such a mixed bag every day, I don't remember what it was like last weekend, but I know I stood outside of that Shaina Kapeluck show talking last Saturday night and was not cold
Addie Plum 🐍 6:37:22 PM
@lizbot the drive was fine! It was about 60 when I left Philly, and 17 when I got home!
Brian D 6:37:22 PM
Always some good synth sounds from BMSR
dan Cochrane 6:37:24 PM
I’m pretending it’s Friday, so sue me.
Ossy Hyouka 6:37:40 PM
Two best new songs played ❤🧡💛💚💙💜💖 Spaceface and Black Moth!
Addie Plum 🐍 6:38:00 PM
Cheers Dan, I’ve got my strong vt beer for this listening session.
dan Cochrane 6:38:51 PM
Brian D, after weeks and weeks I can’t ignore this. Who they say you look it. From that tiny pic. Ready? Everybody looks like somebody after all.
Lizbot (host) 6:39:01 PM
This song is gonna make everyone go get dinner started, isn't it?
Lizbot (host) 6:39:06 PM
Hey Ossy!
Brian D 6:39:18 PM
Got some bourbon lined up post dinner. No shots. Glass of straight up or maybe....a Manhattan!
Lizbot (host) 6:39:36 PM
@Ossy - haha, That Black Moth Super Rainbow track is kinda video game soundtracky too!
Lizbot (host) 6:40:13 PM
@Addie - oh yikes! But it's going back down to the teens here again soon I believe. The flowers and birds are so confused!
Brian D 6:40:37 PM
Dan my pic accidentally looks like Frank Zappa lp cover for You Are What You Is . Happy accident
dan Cochrane 6:40:42 PM
I think you’ll be amused. Hope so.
Addie Plum 🐍 6:40:58 PM
@lizbot I am also confused! It’s 50ish here today and tomorrow ice storm.

dan Cochrane 6:42:07 PM

Li Maria 6:42:21 PM
This too! Good evening, Lizbot
dan Cochrane 6:42:48 PM
Ok, now we can move on. Thanks
Lizbot (host) 6:43:08 PM
@Danosaur - ha, as Bjork & Einar said in The Sugarcubes, may as well just eat the menu!
dan Cochrane 6:43:15 PM
It’s the impish grin!
dan Cochrane 6:43:59 PM
Lingonberry pancake, big Lebowski.
dan Cochrane 6:45:24 PM
When you open the box of a filet o fish looks like chimps threw it together.
dan Cochrane 6:45:50 PM
It’s askew
Lizbot (host) 6:46:06 PM
@Addie - ack. Yeah, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying this warmer weather, but the wildly vacillating temps are giving me whiplash!
Ossy Hyouka 6:46:36 PM
Yeah Liz, Black moth rainbow also a 70s colorful vibe!
dan Cochrane 6:47:08 PM
Wait until you see what’s coming your way from here? Horizontal blowing ice.
Lizbot (host) 6:47:43 PM
@Brian D - DOON-yen...noted. I know this and yet always revert to a Funyun pronunciation for those Swedes! Saw them at First Unitarian church on that first tour. Good show!
Lizbot (host) 6:47:55 PM
@OSsy - Definitely! Love it
mark 6:48:32 PM
@dan you know what singer orders the lingonberry pancakes in that scene ?
Addie Plum 🐍 6:49:03 PM

mark 6:49:27 PM
hahaha great scene !
dan Cochrane 6:49:52 PM
“I can get ya a toe...”
Lizbot (host) 6:49:53 PM

dan Cochrane 6:51:15 PM

Lizbot (host) 6:51:33 PM

dan Cochrane 6:51:56 PM
“My buddies, face down in the muck...”
Space Cowboy 6:52:10 PM

Rob from Maryland 7:00:30 PM
@Lizbot, heck yeah
dan Cochrane 7:01:18 PM
Holy cow, I saw so many gulls flocking, I wondered if they’d cook up nice. Anthony Bourdain would have encouraged me. May he Rest In Peace. Cuttlebone sounds sexual.
Rob from Maryland 7:01:45 PM
I think gulls eat too much fish & trash to be tasty
dan Cochrane 7:02:26 PM
What?!? Ever heard of catfish. Pigs of the fresh water.
Rob from Maryland 7:03:14 PM
Briam, birds that eat fish aren't tasty, I've read. Fish obviously are another matter
dan Cochrane 7:03:16 PM
Buttermilk wash, Andy’s fish breading.
Joe L AbsoluteAuto 7:04:28 PM
Great Show Liz!!
mark 7:05:12 PM
lizbot can we ask george about the dave thomas post cards to his mom u mentioned ?
dan Cochrane 7:05:15 PM
How about birds who eat men without hats? One hit wonder, with most annoying, hilariously bad official video, Dwarf playing mandolin.
Elspeth Abel Slater 7:05:17 PM
I’m here in between cooking—I do hope we get to meet up again someday!!!
Joe L AbsoluteAuto 7:05:19 PM
The Crew at Absolute Auto Solutions Loves rocking WPRB all day everyday
Rob from Maryland 7:06:17 PM
@dan, I was wrong, some fish-eating birds do taste good, according to this 1919 article from an ornithological journal: https://sora.unm.edu/sites/default/files/journals/auk/v036n01/p0100-p0101.pdf
Lizbot (host) 7:06:25 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:07:55 PM

dan Cochrane 7:08:17 PM
Mark Mothersbaugh is a helluva visual artist, fine art. Gallery in Chicago, Aaron Packer. Met him at opening.

dan Cochrane 7:09:52 PM
Nice segue GIRL!
Elspeth Abel Slater 7:10:05 PM
❤️this song❤️
Lizbot (host) 7:10:46 PM
@Dan C - Love him and his oddball Booji Boy videos! I had an early DEVO VHS as a kid that my prompted my parents to distainfully ask what exactly in the hell I was watching!
Lizbot (host) 7:10:55 PM
@Pethie - Yes! Great album!
dan Cochrane 7:10:55 PM
Eno and Todd, between em a zillion productions.
Lizbot (host) 7:11:04 PM
Thanks, Dan!
Lizbot (host) 7:11:40 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:15:37 PM
@Mark - Srsly! I remember reading a Dave Thomas interview where he grumbles about driving from his through PA to east coast show, hence the album "Pennsylvania"
dan Cochrane 7:15:51 PM
Speaking of Elvis, do you know what song beat out his collaboration for Oscar?
dan Cochrane 7:16:50 PM
Acoustic rhythm guitars!
mark 7:17:06 PM
pere ubu just did uk show this week he has a new interpretation of Canterbury Tales
mark 7:18:04 PM
in article he described it as medieval version of on the road
dan Cochrane 7:18:36 PM
I finally read Canterbury tales, so infectious to read that style. Loved it! Same summer as Moby Dick. Got around to both.
Lizbot (host) 7:19:14 PM
@Mark - I'm fine with seeing Elvis Costello instead
dan Cochrane 7:20:02 PM
He cut Alison to play radio radio, giving Lorne Michaels the finger musically.
Lizbot (host) 7:20:04 PM
@Dan C - Plus Lodger featured a ++good favorite, Adrian Belew!
mark 7:20:06 PM
thomas is quite the character amazing he’s still kicking
dan Cochrane 7:20:50 PM
I prefer his #1 Carlos Almomar!
Lizbot (host) 7:21:01 PM
@Mark - Oh wow, huh. Last time I saw Pere Ubu Dave was looking beat! He sat on the stage for most of the Johnny Brenda's show
Lizbot (host) 7:21:07 PM
ANOTHER Ohio band here. Akron
mark 7:21:14 PM
yeah elvis got banned after breaking format michaels banned him
mark 7:21:37 PM
I heard he sat the entire show
Roffle... 7:21:56 PM
Big Adrian Belew fan! Got to meet him and he is is very, very nice person!
dan Cochrane 7:22:27 PM
I hate Lorne Michaels. SNL has been talk show filler guests for decades. Like that show needs a plug.
Lizbot (host) 7:22:28 PM
Reminds me of the time my husband and his friend went to High Zero fest in Baltimore nearly 20 years ago on an utterly gorgeous September day and a guy shuffled up to them and warned "watch out...there's RETSSSS here!"
Tandrew 7:22:42 PM
Hey hey Lizbot and everyone else... Been up for the last few hours with the radio accompanying me 😁
Lizbot (host) 7:23:02 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:26:09 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:26:29 PM
Watt's gonna be at that fest at MassMOCA with Wilco this spring
dan Cochrane 7:26:34 PM
A Top 3 album for me
Lizbot (host) 7:26:36 PM
That's what reminded me
Lizbot (host) 7:27:09 PM

And NOT a cover.
dan Cochrane 7:29:49 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:30:36 PM

Rob from Maryland 7:32:28 PM
I'm glad, Lizbot!
mark 7:32:29 PM

Ambrose Hughes 7:32:33 PM
Hi yo Lizbot! Loving these selections, thank you!
Rob from Maryland 7:33:00 PM
and so soon after last week's International Clash Day on KEXP in Seattle
dan Cochrane 7:33:11 PM
The old JBL, L-100 Classics are fully caffeinated.
Lizbot (host) 7:33:48 PM
Hi Andrew Gruen - Good to know! Saw him in so many odd contexts - a spoken word show in a friend's yard with Byron Coley, Branca 100 guitar orchestra (Hallucination City) rehearsals and shows in NYC, Monclair and L.A. Watt is an animated guy to talk to!
dan Cochrane 7:34:25 PM
I have Glenn branca’s Ascension
mark 7:34:32 PM
yeah snl has some permanent bans: fear, replacements elvis until he reprised the performance for 25 year anniversary show
Lizbot (host) 7:34:52 PM
@Rob - True! I did do a Clash Day show on WPRB years ago and Lupica came on mic to tell about the time he met Joe Strummer at FMU
dan Cochrane 7:35:11 PM
Belushi was over the top with Fear
Lizbot (host) 7:35:44 PM
cuz I hate University Challenge!
mark 7:35:50 PM
@dan I’ll say ! He got them on a few months before he died
dan Cochrane 7:36:00 PM
I dated belushi’s sister in law, James, ex, Sandy, both we’re in 2nd City.
Lizbot (host) 7:36:03 PM
I love this low-budget video - Just a buncha Derry street kids banging around a rec room!
Rob from Maryland 7:36:27 PM
@Lizbot, how lucky of Mike! Clash Day shows are the best
mark 7:36:56 PM
whoa?! must have heard the family stories about him
dan Cochrane 7:37:00 PM
This can’t get any better, Eddy vedder
mark 7:37:41 PM
you know who it was who injected fatally belushi?
Lizbot (host) 7:37:49 PM
@Rob - haha, yup! As I recall, he kinda froze. but you gotta ask him yourself cuz I barely remember the story! Kinda like when I met Ron Mael - not the most famous of musicians I've met but the most awe-inspiring to me! I don't even know what words were coming out of my mouth as I spoke them!
dan Cochrane 7:38:16 PM
I should know that, Martin mull?
Lizbot (host) 7:38:59 PM
@Mark - I was randomly reading about Belushi's final night earlier this year. Backup singer
Lizbot (host) 7:39:04 PM
Cathy Smith
dan Cochrane 7:39:07 PM
No, a chick!
dan Cochrane 7:39:22 PM
See!
Lizbot (host) 7:39:38 PM
I think she worked with Levon Helm/The Band
mark 7:39:40 PM
Cathy Smith who was Gordon light foot ex girlfriend- song Sundown is about her
Lizbot (host) 7:39:56 PM
@mark - yeah, she turns up in a lot of stories
dan Cochrane 7:40:19 PM
Anyone see that Russian phenom skater, other worldly talent. 14 or 15.
mark 7:40:59 PM
rumor was she aborted levon helm baby she just died last year
dan Cochrane 7:42:01 PM
Belushi’s sister in laws kid, now a actor, threw a basketball at my head.
dan Cochrane 7:42:47 PM
He was a dead ringer for Anthony, jr. Soprano.
dan Cochrane 7:43:45 PM
See the Meadow super bowl electric car ad?
mark 7:44:04 PM
was just down a julie newmar rabbit hole this week she had an la property line dispute w Jim belushi
dan Cochrane 7:45:21 PM
Wasn’t she basically a one hit wonder acting wise?
Lizbot (host) 7:45:53 PM
@Mark - There are a couple of 15 year-old Russian skaters at Beijing that I know of. I know one's caught up in a doping scandal but I don't know what the latest is with that - I think they would have reached a verdict by now.
Roffle... 7:46:17 PM
Funboting with Lizbot was fun. G'nite!
Lizbot (host) 7:46:50 PM
Alexandra Trusova is very young and skated in the nationals to Stooges' I Wanna Be your Dog, which I watched. But yeah, these skaters are getting younger and younger! Interesting controversy with where to cut off age minimum.
Lizbot (host) 7:46:58 PM
'Night, Roffle! Thanks for hanging!
mark 7:47:03 PM
hmmm hard to really call her one hit - she is absolutely beautiful one of the Batman cat women
dan Cochrane 7:47:31 PM
One I’m thinking of broke record with 180, months before olympics, watch that routine. Every other skater uses Boulez Bolero.
dan Cochrane 7:48:11 PM
That’s precisely the one hit I meant.
Addie Plum 🐍 7:48:21 PM
I keep forgetting the Olympics are happening.
dan Cochrane 7:49:02 PM
Pretty easy too. Too young to be a doper. What a concept.
Addie Plum 🐍 7:49:42 PM
I can’t even imagine being under that much pressure at that age. Poor kid.
Lizbot (host) 7:49:49 PM
@Addie - I have barely watched, and it's a weird (but safer) vibe with no audience, but it keeps my 83 year-old dad entertained for hours, so there's that!
dan Cochrane 7:50:19 PM
I put curling on to sleep
Addie Plum 🐍 7:50:27 PM
I would maybe watch some if there was a way to see it without the commercials
dan Cochrane 7:51:24 PM
I absolutely hate any inane commentary watching skating poetry taking place. Sucks
dan Cochrane 7:52:06 PM
Way worse than tennis commentary.
mark 7:52:25 PM
gonna have to find video of skating to the stooges never would’ve expected that :)
Addie Plum 🐍 7:52:57 PM
Lawd love a Slavic band!
dan Cochrane 7:53:13 PM
It’s like having commentary watching fireworks. Please enhance it for me!?!
dan Cochrane 7:53:43 PM
Stooges Bolero
mark 7:54:33 PM
hahaha portmanteau right ?
