Which shop? I have seen some good ones come and go in my day. Trying to remember the one in Old City here in philly that closed like 5 years or so ago

In philly I helped out occasionally at a short-run store called R&D, but when I was employed full time at a shop it was in NJ at Vintage Vinyl

R&D was on 4th, just below south st

Most of my media production's been audio and writing.. lots of radio (cough cough) and podcasting production, writing scripts and articles for outlets, even playing in ableton to come up with basic compositions to add to podcast production

Even the mic bed for this show (playing now) I made

But yeah idk where I'll be in the next couple months, applying to places all over (mostly LA, Atlanta, and Philly)

Ah ok, very interesting. Do you have the skillset to build a production studio? I know theres people who rent to bands to record but maybe thats a totally different beast

I have had great wprb experiences in drive through car washes in past couple years. Always enhances the particular song. But I've been lucky where it seems the really intense songs come on when the jets start...

That latest one where he describes the song and keeps singing it oh my... laffs galore. Tears streaming

@Pup where in CNJ were you? I was born and raised in Polish North Trenton, moved to Lawrence during middle school, and finally back in (East) Trenton a year and a half ago.

And yes those auto washes are convenient but not always doing a great job. At least the one on Rt 1 behind Wawa...

I love the scary loss of perspective in the drive through car washes where you actually stop the car and that movable bridge-like mechanism moves back and forth over your car . If the suds obscure the windows enough you start to jam on the brakes and swear that your car is MOVING! Great adrenaline rush no additives needed ha!

I grew up in Manalapan through high school, then stayed up in the New Brunswick/Highland Park area until I moved to Philly

Yeah its definitely a rush sometimes! Especially some of the high velocity air dryers I'll worry at times that the windows might break or something lol

@Brian sounds fancy! The washes I go to are just simple tunnels with sprayers and those cylinders that smack the hell out of my car with the red 'brushes'

I went to a spot in Cherry Hill yesterday (similarly near a Wawa) that the car goes on the track and it runs you through the brushes etc

Yeah NB is sort of a border/land with north jersey it feels like

I always considered CNJ a solid line from upper Burlington up to maybe South Brunswick, Rutgers MAYBE.

Yeah, in this case I went to Rutgers so that's about right

Oh i would not say fancy no... i thought the stationary ones seem like less upkeep. But also less chance of car damage, getting stuck etc than those ones where you have to align you wheels and go in neutral n machine pulls your car. Those are a little scary

I wish we had a touchless wash around here, those are awesome. Going too often is murder on the paint but hell it's fancy

Parents always liked to go out to dinner maybe once a week/ every other. Growing up in Lower Bucks Co Pa we would almost always go to Trenton. Never Philly, too far. So many great restaurants in NJ then and now

We're definitely in a good area for food, tons of variety of cuisine and lots of high quality spots

My wife was going to one where you get the mothly plan paid up front and the little strip sticker in your window that the sensor reads it etc.

The car wash I went to yesterday had one of those programs too

In the world there are currently about a couple dozen screen printed patches, some pinback buttons, and one shirt with the logo printed on it (that I own)

A band member did do a couple of shirts via Cafe Press & gave me one. I will give them it was soft not that tent canvas scratchy neck torture variety but it did fade quick. Made it look all vintage ha

thats a nice knock on effect, if I made any merch I'd be hand screen printing it (have a screen printer at home, single-color)

I actually also have a vinyl cutting machine, so I could probably make vinyl clings at home too

I'd say red bubble but the way they cut stickers is pretty bad... Last ones I got were cut uneven, and even normally they have huge white outlines.

It's one of the few movies that I've held off because I want to see it in an ideal environment.. like good size screen and soundsystem etc... missed it in theatres

and since Covid I've been especially hesitant to try going to theatres.. though I'm making a rare exception to go see the Jujutsu Kaisen movie at the end of this week
