Last time I saw Robyn Hitchcock play was in a suburban NJ strip mall. After the show, my wife and I walked across the parking lot to a diner where we ordered champagne and cheese fries at 1 AM. Like John Cusak's character says in the movie version of "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil": 'New York is Boring'.

gotta find was to incorporate dodgy into my daily vocabulary.

As of 15 years ago (last time I saw them), yes. I didn't think a band could be more ridiculously and needlessly over-the-top loud... until My Bloody Valentine followed them. They were so loud, I actually left the venue because it was just dumb.
