hey jen, et al:). thx for all the tunes i need to know about! did you figure out the release on the syd barrett, just looked up ad this is what i found: "Recorded May 14, 1968 First and only take. Note: Lanky (part two) runs for over seven minutes and consists of two drum tracks only."

oh yeah, this just in! bummer, yes saw orthopedist last night. the good news, no surgery, no PT, no cast (but i do have a boot). bad news: 1) calcaneous chip fracture (a bone that run from the heel to the front part pf the ankle) and a torn ligament. luckily, ACC to the doc, there are more smaller ligaments in the foot, so not as serious as say,an ACL tear. no tennis no nada for about 8 weeks. no driving 3 weeks, but iw ill cheat

I really wanted to see Moving Targets a couple months ago in New Jersey but they were playing a 5-6 band basement show at a house in northern NJ with an unset start time and I am very much NOT THERE YET on several fronts.

I think they are definitely going for Lisa Simpson tho. The Spanish phonetic pronunciation would be close to seen-son like that . That combo of "m-p-s" consonants in a row is not something that comes up in Spanish phonetics. So they are most likely referencing Lisa Simpson yes

I saw Evil Stig at Maxwell’s sometime in the 90’s, when they called themselves the Dancing French Liberals Of '48. Few attended. I heard that they played there another time under the name Evil Stig, and that show was packed–because Joan Jett played with them. I heard she came and went in an awesome superbus, separate from the band in their crappy van.
