Patrick White 6:09:45 PM
Good Evening to John.and Rick
Patrick White 6:10:34 PM
Gene Autry owned the Angel's now he is performing for them.
Bill Davidson 6:15:54 PM
The main voice sounds like Loudon Wainwright III.
Bill Davidson 6:16:38 PM
...Peter Cooper. Not familiar with him.
Patrick White 6:17:32 PM
He is great performer. He has a nice tribute song to Henry Aaron.
John Weingart (host) 6:18:09 PM
Hi All.
Patrick White 6:18:50 PM
I always cheered Richie Allen.Just missed the Hall of Fame this year.aqa
Patrick White 6:20:10 PM
Was a decent singer also.In a singing appearance at the Spectrum he told the audience please boo me make me feel at home,,
Bill Davidson 6:21:26 PM
Ha ha!
Bill Davidson 6:22:09 PM
It seems there's a Chuck Brodsky collection called The Baseball Ballads. It includes this track.
Patrick White 6:22:28 PM
Decent song he released with The Ebonistics called Echoes of November.
Patrick White 6:23:41 PM
John needs to bring Chuck Brodsky back to Prallsville Mills..
Bill Davidson 6:25:40 PM
Perhaps I shouldn't get ahead, John, but I'm curious if there's A Christine Lavin song in your playlist tonight.
Patrick White 6:26:16 PM
My lesson from Home plate was I couldn’t hit a curve ball
Patrick White 6:28:39 PM
48 years anniversary of 715.75 year anniversary of Jackie Robinson integrating MLB.
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:29:21 PM
@ John Weingart (host) So sorry about the wonderful Paul Siebel.
John Weingart (host) 6:32:29 PM
Amen
Brian D 6:36:01 PM
Buffalo Rag good pickin there
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:39:48 PM
@ John Weingart (host) Crackin' set of baseball songs. I wonder how those singer/songwriters feel about Matthew Walther's recent New York Times guest opinion piece "Baseball Is Dying. The Government Should Take It Over" ... for which he might have gotten angry mail comparable to Hank Aaron before breaking Babe Ruth's all-time home run mark!
John Weingart (host) 6:48:51 PM
I tend to follow baseball songs rather than baseball. Sounds like
John Weingart (host) 6:49:38 PM
... I nned to catch up.
Bill Davidson 6:52:20 PM
Eliza Gilkyson! I haven't heard her music since the '90s.
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:58:06 PM
Kym Warner's mandolin work on that Eliza Gilkyson track "The Hill Behind This Town" is simply gorgeous!

From David Bromberg's Facebook page
Patrick White 7:12:47 PM
Was this the theme song of the Watergate hearings.
John Weingart (host) 7:23:27 PM
in spirit anyway
Patrick White 7:31:04 PM
Apparently Bruce Springsteen was a fan of this song.He co.opted.Spanish Johnny into the protagonist in Incident on 57th street.
Bill Davidson 7:32:08 PM
Wow, great trivia!
Russell Woessner 7:32:47 PM
Nice tribute to Paul Siebel, John. Thanks.
Brian D 7:33:19 PM
Picasso's Mandolin! Great tune
Bill Davidson 7:34:46 PM
I was lucky enough to see Guy Clark perform. I couldn't believe he came to Massachusetts!
Patrick White 7:34:47 PM
Just joking Bill.Doubt if 1970 Bruce was listening to David Bromberg or Paul Siebel..
Bill Davidson 7:35:04 PM
...Oh, darn.
Brian D 7:39:44 PM
Sierra Hull is 1 of the best players out there. I don't know much about him but I would say Bruce knows the folkie greats definitely. He probably donned a harmonica frame and played solo acoustic gtr when he was young at 1 point.
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:40:10 PM
Sierra's a musical "Bombshell" and one Hull of a mandolin artist.
Brian D 7:41:16 PM
Saw her first back about 10 years ago at both Delaware Valley BG and Grey Fox BG fests one year
Brian D 7:41:58 PM
Then watched her get even better over the years. Always with a great band too
Patrick White 7:46:50 PM
Good thing Tom Paxton hurt his arm or we would have been deprived of a great folk singer.
Patrick White 7:48:53 PM
Thanks John You really hit a home run with tonight’s program..
Bill Davidson 7:53:12 PM
Thanks, John, great show!
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:53:26 PM
@ Patrick White Yep, John definitely hit it out of the park. Maybe New Jesey will approve a new bond issue so John can build a new stadium ... I mean, _studio_ ... and not get lured away to another state! ;-))
Rick Horowitz 7:54:22 PM
What a lovely, love-filled show! Thanks again!!
John Weingart (host) 7:56:19 PM
Thank you fellas!
Brian D 7:57:53 PM
Great show John!
Zapshifter X 7:59:53 PM
