They were an international outfit, increasingly linked to other bands of the Canterbury scene. Unfortunately, the CD reissues leave out the amusing liner notes that enhance appreciation of Gong's music by elaborating on their silly mythology.

Gautham hello. Yes i imagine i have altered the Joe Frank/ Google search platform right here in the chat over the last 2 years! Especially on Dave's show here (and other wprb shows) . I am constantly reminded of Joe Frank as i hear the full pieces that Joe used for background loops. 1st heard JF on Phila public radio in the 1990s. Then i found some shows online and bought some off his site in my computer/ post- cassette era. I pore thru the JF wiki site often. Cheers
