I just picked up the recent Strut reissue of Lanquidity, and the essays talk about Eddie Gale's playing on it more than anyone except Ra himself

A bit late here, but please check out Aretha playing 'Won't Be Long' on the Steve Allen show from 1964 on YouTube. Her piano playing is brilliant.

I just replaced my lost Parallel Lines,,,,

I was always told tip of the tong on the roof/front teeth but it either hisses or sounds like an outboard motor lol

I just wind up doing the Dutch thing and using the back of my tongue, sounds more like "chhh" than "rrr"
