Yes, I was thinking about that last night, Patrick. Absolutely
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:06:52 PM
He loved that song, it uplifted him
Patrick White 12:09:38 PM
This music so good I want to convert but Old Saint Mary’s Church refused to trade me.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:10:17 PM
They needed you to be a designated shtick-er
Patrick White 12:11:42 PM
The one synagogue accepted me but they said I had to drop the Priest A rabbi and a…jokes

Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:17:24 PM
Caused by the "special programming" in hour 2
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:17:44 PM
Right on, Christine
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:20:07 PM
To think that jazz this beautiful will sell so little in 2022, it's a shame
Patrick White 12:21:36 PM
Unfortunately the Intelligent Design does not apply to mainstream American music tastes.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:22:30 PM
I actually had an intelligent design theme going on but abandoned it
Christine 𓅓 12:22:53 PM
The value of art should never be tied to how profitable it can be.
Patrick White 12:25:19 PM
Happy 82 nd birthday to WPRB.I remember that first year distinctly.Jerry had an in studio interview with Artie Shaw
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:25:40 PM
Christine, Henry Miller had some great things to say about art that I can't repeat hear, but ties in with what you said
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 12:25:54 PM
Haaaaa, Patrick!
Brian D 12:33:12 PM

I was in front the other day I told 2 Young people there used to be a great record store at this site. One asked What’s a record? The other asked What’s a store?
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:11:21 PM

Brian D 1:14:53 PM
Ritchie was great. Only got to see him a few times.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:15:43 PM
It's a short video, patrick, about 8 minutes long
Patrick White 1:15:46 PM
Is John and Peters still a thing? I don’t get out much. I know they turned Havana Bar into a Covers Band mecca
Mike Constantine 1:16:35 PM
John Larson sold it a few years ago....still live music
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:16:37 PM
Patrick, I don't know, I haven't bee there since before covid when I saw Will Constantine's band
Patrick White 1:16:54 PM
Not true not true You could do 8 minutes just reenacting Ian Drury robbing your store!!!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:17:04 PM
We should have known Mike would be informed on the subject
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:17:35 PM
Haha, he's dead and I still haven't forgiven that putz!
Mike Constantine 1:17:42 PM
Will played J&P?....wow!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:17:59 PM
attempted robbery.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:18:26 PM
Yes, a number of times, Mike
Patrick White 1:18:40 PM
My goal in life is to play timbales in Will Constantine’s band
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:19:22 PM
Will is a 100% self-taught musician
Mike Constantine 1:20:32 PM
Clarinet if I recall
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:21:40 PM
Will is like my buddy Ian here, plays a million percussion instruments (and horns)
Christine 𓅓 1:22:42 PM
This interview with Ian is really interesting.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:23:37 PM
I'm glad you think so, Christine. Really. A great guy with a lot of knowledge
Brian D 1:24:13 PM
Will C played monthly at John and Peter's in the 90s and 00s. My band(s) were playing monthly same era. He had a bunch of instruments yes! And he sat in with other bands too
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:25:14 PM
I wish I had seen your band!
Brian D 1:26:03 PM
One of my old band mates is co owner of John and Peter's now
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:26:48 PM
He should hire you as a consultant
Brian D 1:28:55 PM
But i have not been there in a while. The late nights at the bar days are over. We just called that place "the bar". No confusion as it was the only one we went to in town . After practice hang always. Sometimes practice was at the bar! They'd call us if a band cancelled on a weeknight sometimes
Brian D 1:30:12 PM
Good outdoor side bar spot too . Great burgers. Prime people watching spot
Mike Constantine 1:30:33 PM
I don't think I've been in there since Ricky passed
Brian D 1:31:50 PM
Ricky was great! Really supportive during the one band's wild days. He helped us pull off some crazy shows! Miss him
Mike Constantine 1:32:38 PM
Loved Ricky....oh....the stories....
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:33:04 PM
Hamza El Din - The Water Wheel, one of the very early Nonesuch Releases
Brian D 1:33:28 PM
Last saw him 6-7 years ago at the Clarion hotel pool we hang out at in summer. Glad i got to run into him again before he passed
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 1:34:21 PM
Sounds like an incredible person
Brian D 1:35:01 PM
Yeah many a late night where the staff locked the doors and dimmed the lights and kept the (free) bar open. Shhhh... especially during the Ricky era
Brian D 1:35:20 PM
A wild card heh
Christine 𓅓 1:56:07 PM
I'm going to have to check out Quinta Essentia.
Ambrose Hughes 2:00:01 PM
Good afternoon Jerry! That was a treat, great stuff thank you for bringing it.
Brian D 2:02:32 PM
Mike B was doing "soundtrack" or at least background music for adult films towards the end there. Hey... it's a gig
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:02:38 PM
Thank you, Ambrose. Not only does Ian make great music, but he is a wealth of interesting information.
Christine 𓅓 2:03:26 PM
Today's show is hitting on all cylinders!

Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:52:22 PM
I wonder how they differ
