Hello it's me Commie Francis I just can't stay away from Saturday nights! I'm here with a lil theme I had in my back pocket for emergencies. I did a show about still photos about a year ago but ended up with enough great songs for fully 3 shows. So here's photo show #2, no repeats!

@ Commie Francis (host) Thanks for the public service announcement re: the Spotted Lantern Fly. As a journalist who's been reporting on this invasive species for the local Montgomery News, I can tell you all: Don't worry about reporting a sighting, smush the critter! There likely won't be any exclusion zones in NJ by the end of this summer. They've already leapt cross-state and reached Ocean County by 2022. Cut down "Tree of Heaven" plants, too, those are SpLnFly condos!

@ Commie Francis (host) Thanks for "New York Mining Disaster 1941" by the Bee Gees, one of the most tragic photograph references in pop music.

I found a few here in Atlantic County, NJ (near Atlantic City) too.

@ Amy Apledgedly Lee Yes, the Spotted Lantern Fly have really rolled and rolled. And they're great hitchhikers in the undercarriages and wheel wells of cars and trucks. Heaven help the vineyards of New York State and California if they get there. They love succulent fruits & veggies, and they're totally voracious.

Sorry, I meant "Amy Erma Lee" but my SpellCheck thought it knew better ...

@Richard. One time bike riding on the river trail I had to stop and wipe them off my tires/brakes. I had run over so many of them

I was really hoping some wildlife would’ve developed a taste for them by now.
