@ Commie Francis (host) And also Kurt Cobain's favorite band outside Nirvana. When he first caught Shonen Knife in concert, he later said, he felt like he was a 10-year-old girl seeing the Beatles in Shea Stadium -- out of his chair, on his feet ... and just SCREAMING!!! That's a Shonen knife t-shirt he's wearing during Nirvana's classic MTV Unplugged session.

i know a lot of people who got into bands from kurt t-shirts! i don't know that i did. possibly shonen knife, i don't recall where i heard about them

@ Commie Francis (host) Very interesting about Kurt wearing other bands' t-shirts and it serving as free advertising for those groups. I think Cobain was totally sincere in his admiration for other musicians but, so sadly, to the point of feeling inferior and depressed about his own talents, which were awesome & real.
