Readie: If you can count more than about 20 stars you will probably see at least one every half hour...Stay up late (after 10 PM) face north east and up, and ABSOLUTELY TUNE IN WPRB's MUSIC WITH SPACE to attract meteors :)

@ Readie Righteous (host) I was very touched by your reference just now on mic break to seeing the Perseid meteor showers years back while visiting Lake George. I spent a lot of time in the 1980s & '90s at nearby Lake Champlain. And the celestial glory of the night skies was always just astonishing! But it was terribly poignant by comparison, realizing how much light pollution in heavily developed regions has erased our view of the stars.

@Richard- so true- it's getting tougher & tougher to enjoy mother nature's gifts...hope we can get the political will to fix this climate catastrophe...
