Creator... is such a wprb memory. Especially from Will Constantine's show

@Brian D- I learned a lot about Davis this week...and what a diverse career- with jazz, rock, pop artists, etc. etc.

When I walk in the churchyard, there are many flying around...looking for bits of food left by the mourners...though I'm not sure if they're hawks or turkey buzzards....

In other bird news, one of the flamingos in Chambersburg was injured by a snapping turtle and is being cared for by a wildlife rehab center.

Readie: hawks have straight winged silouette, Turkey Buzzards have a "V" shape. Birders call them "TV's"

:( I was worried for those flamingos too. Hopefully the one recovers well <3

In this great color contrast time of Sept Oct you can see the nice reddish under wing colors of the hawks esp this time of evening

I don't know TAndy. Pretty stressful for the poor things. The snapper had the one pretty good and it had to be beaten off by a birder. Hopefully, it will wait....?

Saw a heron doing its point head strut the other day on back roads of Jerz in way home from shore. Moving steadily across someone's yard. I gave the oncoming traffic a few flick on / offs of lights after i paused and looked

I love watching them soar - and then the planes coming in for a landing ...

I was at Bombay Hook yesterday. Lots of young foxes. Also saw some belted kingfishers which I hadn't seen in a good while.The foxes liked the cherries (pitted) that I left.

My friend and I saw some night herons up in Edgewater a few days ago. Even saw some monk parakeets

I keep seeing quaker parrot, rock parrot, monk parakeet all used as interchangable names for these critters

I know I'm not supposed to feed wildlife but I can't help myself. I'd like to see them parakeets. I've heard about them but never got to that part of Jersey.

In Florida I had 3 scrub jays land on my head and my shirt. They're the friendliest birds I even came across.

Greetings and happy Friday, Readie! Home from work and settled on the patio with a glass of wine. Enjoying the finches, hummingbird, Cardinal and occasional Blue Jay stopping by to grab dinner from the feeder and flowers, or take a bath in the bird bath! This jazz is perfect for unwinding from a busy week.

we have all the early bruce LPs here. they all look great but were played a lot when they came out.. they all have the "slight surface noise"
