songs to make you feel like the plumage on the fabulous roseate spoonbill
Imagine a pink or magenta or anywhere in between bird.
Now take the flamingo you just imagined and turn its bill into a big flat grey spoon.
Turn the flamingo's eye red delicious red
the plumage, big red gum color
the eye, the big red gum packaging
keep the pink legs
SONGS LIKE THAT.
oh and some tunes I missed throughout the year and in my life
this is a rebroadcast. refresh to see current songs. no chat open (probably, unless I'm awake at 3 am)

An impulsive dive into the best of 2020 playlist I kept all year
My apologies for lack of introspection on this list. I keep it all year, and usually I'm a better caretaker, but this year was...weird. So, here's some songs I liked in February of 2020 and beyond, before I knew what 2020 would look like. This show also has a little detour into 80s easy listening library music. Thanks for the comment last week, Brian D.! You sent me down the library music rabbithole yet again.

SAVE US GALACTIC FEDERATION (episode 30)
My thoughts on how the pandemic is a giant audition for the Space Federation and we are failing it miserably. Do you know how many aliens must be laughing at us right now? Think about the weirdest documentary you ever watched. One about people keeping monkeys as babies. Or the multiple documentaries about men with mannequin girlfriends. Think about the cruelest person from each film. That's us, but on a multi- galactic scale. Why are we this way? Explore as many genres of songs about space by humans that I can reasonably flow together. Synthwave. Country. Ideal breakfast sandwich combinations.
Everyone's favorite space bear makes an appearance, as do a couple of songs about cats in space.
This is a rebroadcast, so likely no chat open.

Not actually Hanukkah but I thought it was
Here's the show that I created thinking Hanukkah started on Tuesday because I mixed it up with Thursday. Sigh. I know NOW. It features:
an absurd jellyfish
2 versions of "Happy Together" by the Turtles
poignant audience requests
overflow demo music

27? 28? Time is slipping slipping slipping
I accidentally hit the italic key but I like the feeling of writing in italic. Even phrases like "trombone spotlight" seem somehow sanguine and heavy-lidded.
Tune in for a show that will tell you all about an animal with a false head and covered in thorns. A show to make you dance after I bum you out.
