Democracy Now! is a national, daily, independent, award-winning news
program hosted by journalists Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez.
Democracy Now!โs War and Peace Report provides our audience with access
to people and perspectives rarely heard in the U.S.corporate-sponsored
media, including independent and international journalists, ordinary
people from around the world who are directly affected by U.S. foreign
policy, grassroots leaders and peace activists, artists, academics and
independent analysts. In addition, Democracy Now! hosts real
debatesโdebates between people who substantially disagree, such as
between the White House or the Pentagon spokespeople on the one hand,
and grassroots activists on the other.
Our reporting includes breaking daily news headlines and in-depth interviews with people on the front lines of the worldโs most pressing issues. On Democracy Now!, youโll hear a diversity of voices speaking for themselves, providing a unique and sometimes provocative perspective on global events.
As an independent news program, Democracy Now! is audience-supported, which means that our editorial independence is never compromised by corporate or government interests. Since our founding in 1996, Democracy Now! has held steadfast to our policy of not accepting government funding, corporate sponsorship, underwriting or advertising revenue.
