In The Cold, Cold Night

Feb. 1 is Imbolc, traditionaly a midwinter celebration of the coming light, overcoming darkness. aka Candlemas in Roman Catholic ritual; and from German folklore, Groundhog Day. That should explain our obsssion with shadows.
