| Small Faces Happy Boys Happy / Things Will Get Better / Get Yourself Together The Darlings of Wapping Wharf Launderette for Small Faces (& Faces) keyboardist Ian McLagan, died 2014, December 3 (Thursday) of a stroke, age 69; from 1965-1969, McLagan, bassist Ronnie Lane, drummer Kenney Jones played as Small Faces fronted by Steve Marriot on vocals & guitar, who left in 1969 (forming Humble Pie w/Peter Frampton); Small Faces morphed into just Faces with the addition of (future Rolling Stones) guitarist Ron Wood and scratchy-voiced singer Rod Stewart (both played 1967-1969 in Jeff Beck Group); Faces and Humble Pie both broke up in 1975, and Small Faces reformed w/Marriot for the rest of the 1970s.

| The Who So Sad About Us (live 1967) Beat Club Beat Club In memorium December 3, 1979: A concert by The Who at The Riverfront Coliseum, Cincinnati, turned to disaster when 11 members of the audience were trampled to death after a stampede to claim unreserved seats, another 26 fans were injured. The concert was using 'festival seating' where seats are available on a first come-first served basis. When the waiting fans outside the Coliseum heard the band performing a late sound check, they thought that the concert was beginning and tried to rush into the still-closed doors.
