1993 recordings; for Elastica members, guitarist / vocalist Donna Matthews, born December 2 (Wednesday) 1971; and drummer Justin Welch, born Dec. 4 (Friday) 1972; Elastica had 1995 UK #13 single 'Waking Up') ... Justin Welch also played in the one-off 1996 side project Me Me Me with Alex James and Stephen Dufy … Donna Matthews performed in the 1998 movie Velvet Goldmine; she left Elastica in 1999; later she became a missionary for the homeless.

for Small Faces (& Faces) keyboardist Ian McLagan, died 2014, December 3 (Thursday) of a stroke, age 69; from 1965-1969, McLagan, bassist Ronnie Lane, drummer Kenney Jones played as Small Faces fronted by Steve Marriot on vocals & guitar, who left in 1969 (forming Humble Pie w/Peter Frampton); Small Faces morphed into just Faces with the addition of (future Rolling Stones) guitarist Ron Wood and scratchy-voiced singer Rod Stewart (both played 1967-1969 in Jeff Beck Group); Faces and Humble Pie both broke up in 1975, and Small Faces reformed w/Marriot for the rest of the 1970s.

In memorium December 3, 1979: A concert by The Who at The Riverfront Coliseum, Cincinnati, turned to disaster when 11 members of the audience were trampled to death after a stampede to claim unreserved seats, another 26 fans were injured. The concert was using 'festival seating' where seats are available on a first come-first served basis. When the waiting fans outside the Coliseum heard the band performing a late sound check, they thought that the concert was beginning and tried to rush into the still-closed doors.

Buzzcocks had 1978 UK #12 single 'Ever Fallen In Love, With Someone You Shouldn't've' and was know for the hits ‘Orgasm Addict’, ‘What Do I Get?’and ‘Everybody's Happy Nowadays’. Shelley also had a solo career: his song ‘Homosapien’ charted in the US in 1981

1980; December 6 (Sunday) 2003: Elvis Costello married jazz artist Diana Krall in a ceremony at Elton John's UK mansion. About 150 guests, including Paul McCartney attended the wedding. It was Costello's third marriage
