Musical milestones-- Ringo Starr was born, John Lennon met Paul McCartney, the first Ray Charles LP was released, there was a chart battle between Bobby Darin and Buddy Holly, James Brown released one of the greatest live LPβs ever, Lou Reed released a double album of nothing but feedback and noise, and David Bowie killed off Ziggy Stardust. Iβll spin tunes by The Rolling Stones and Talking Heads, and celebrate the musical birthdays of Bill Haley, Mary Ford, Mitch Mitchell of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Jack White, Louis Jordan, and Lee Hazlewood. Plus my kids tell jokes.
