Hi everyone, now you are tuning in to THE CUBAN BRIDGE @ WWPV 92.5 FM "The Mike", Saint Michael's College's Campus Radio.

My name is Toni Basanta, and I'll be your DJ for the next 3 or 4 hours, and in our radio sow we are going to celebrate 42 years of MUSIC, on a Tribute to JAZZ band named AFROCUBA'77, founded in HAVANA, by some veterans of Havana Music Scene, and some of the brightest students of the Island School System.

WE are going to highlight compositions and albums released in the last 4 decades, and some of the main artists in our radio show, will be those former members of AFROCUBA '77, who are still at the TOP of their game : pianists Ernan Lopez-Nussa and Fermin Sifontes, trumpeter Robertico Garcia, guitarist Rene Luis Toledo, saxophonists Fernando Acosta, Jose Carlos Acosta and German Velazco, bassist Omar Hernandez and flutist Oriente Lopez.

In THE CUBAN BRIDGE, we are dedicated to rescuing great music at risk of being lost to time. For this reason, we are going to give you heart-felt and genuine compositions.
