Hailing from the Southside of Chicago, Radio Ruta is a veteran of the WXAV airwaves. Music For While U Work airs every Thursday morning from 10am- Noon. Radio Ruta plays new indie and alternative releases plus hear local, punk, funk, 90s, new wave, 80s, she digs deep for cuts to surprise your head. Radio Ruta has interviewed Henry Rollins, Ike Reilly, Scott Lucas, Matthew Sweet, and Jon Langford. She has also hosted numerous local bands live in the WXAV studios.
