Ear to Ear 237 welcomes the arrival of Spring, with its bursting blooms, budding flowers, beautiful birdsongs, balmy weather, and all the promise of future growth with none of the bugs...yet. Locally, of course, we've just survived the other harbinger of spring--the bombastic ballyhoo of Blunder Over Kablooieville, coming ironically right after Earth Day. If you can hear me now, perhaps you were spared the sounds of the attack planes sonically strafing our own population with ear-shredding engines in terrifying proximity. Pity the poor birds and other wildlife, with no escape from this madness. I kept safe under my very own wet blanket. So today, some gentle jazz for Spring, some songs about thunder, and to conclude--some songs in honor of musician Cari Norris, who passed away recently, and who was an amazing soul whose art touched many of us in ways we will never forget.
