Kong my fave song of the summer of 2014

Not that I'm any fan of militarized cops, because I'm not, but the "cops" were there mainly to protect federal property which was being vandalized. It was not a peaceful protest. And not that I'm any fan at all of white supremicist groups, because I'm not, but they weren't trying to break into a federal court house and burn it down. Great song, though. Been a long time since I heard it.

Both sides fucked up, and did so for the media.

Wow Rubber Bullets got some reaction! I checked Spinitron and it hadn't played on the Z in the past year.. figured it's due. @roadsider press of unmarked feds attacking the wall of moms, dads with leaf blowers, that veteran, teachers, and the MAYOR.. - these are not agitators, they're normal people getting pepper sprayed and tear gassed. Bad optics. And the resulting escalation in protests suggests they're a political props.

Oldies show tries best to stay in late 50's to 1970

Jeff, don't worry about not doing research. I don't need to be informed, I just need to hear good tunes. Commercial radio is absolutely unlistenable, we need The Z!

at one point the rubber bullets thing had gotten so out of hand (every started playing it multiple times in a row as sort of an inside joke) I had to lock both copies up for a while...it was unlistenable radio

Thanks @BillP agree. @PeterC i heard Rubber Bullets on commercial album stations in the 70's before "I'm Not In Love" exploded.. didn't realize anyone ever played it on the Z ..

Who was the local experimantal artist Rossi she did a great cover of Not in Love

New Certain Ratio

they did something recently with a band called maps which didn't give me much optimism about what the new one would should like...I didn't realize it was out yet

That's shocking that was A Certain Ratio.

ACR went pretty pop/light jazz after sextet. Thats only one of two songs on the prerelease..The other one sounds more like what ACR became..I guess we'll see what it sounds like when its all released

This is not a request but a recommendation; check out the band Vono, album- Modern Leben (1983). That is all.
