Just got IG posts from several bands on a compilation "Good music to avert the collapse of American Democracy". Only on sale Friday, figured it might be a special BandCamp day.

(btw, no harm in Bandcamp making a little money, too--they seem to be the least greedy middleman when distributing music, according to bands who tell me this)

John Cale @ex - yeah that's what I thought.. a lot of our idols from the 70's and 80's sound more crackly now.. can't be easy to sound unaged..

Even my voice is crackled--maybe if I stop yelling "get off my lawn" to passersby, it would be better.

Not sure how many 'protest songs' we'll get. Might just be one offs and covers. Fingers crossed for some anthems.

Most powerful protest songs are hip hop. Jamie Cohen on tonight (at 10?) reliably digs up a lot of excellent R&B with words and lyrics that address injustice.

Almost every song today was excellent. Please serve leftovers again some day!
