grace jones got linked to Democracy Now. It does that at the end of my show, adds the 1st 1am bot song at the end of my show.

What the "mono"? Who does that?

dunno, their other song "Hunger for a Way Out" sounds mono too. I hit the "mono" button of my monitor on both songs, no difference. Maybe it's a thing.

I played Danse Society Light Years a couple months ago on a Home Pandemicast show....does that count?

@LPH - They could have the locked-groove part prerecorded, play it live, then put down their instruments and walk off stage while the recording keeps playing. Probably a good idea for the final song in their final encore set.

I recall seeing Bowie doing a locked groove thing in concert after "Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family"

That Bowie show in Foxboroi wa one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

RE: locked grooves: One of the most difficult records to play on the radio is the "100 Locked Groove" compilation from RRRecords. Let's say you want to play the band F/i, whose song is cut # 25. Good luck counting the grooves.

You're killing me (Jamie & JB).. '83 Bowie in Foxboro was my first concert ever. Missed him in '87.

@ SC - 50 cuts a side ? And you have to lift the needle after each track since each one locks? World's least practical vinyl pressing I guess..

Honestly, best time I saw Bowie was with Tin Machine at the Living Room in Providence. I was close enough to see which eye was blue and which was brown.

Yesssss, Jamie! That was an underrated tour. I didn't like the album much, but the live show (in Boston, too) was intense. Think they were meant to play live.

Who'd a thunk Soupy Sales sons would be great musicians.

@Jamie wow ! With Reeves Gabral who I don't think lives in Boston anymore. I saw Bowie at the Orpheum, but was in row 24 or something - back of the orchestra pit. Was still a stunningly amazing show. Saw Foxborough both '83 and '87, all I could get were nosebleed seats.

Ooof....should be my middle or nickname.

The vocals on this track remind me of Bryan Ferry (early Roxy).

Yeah, Reeves Gabral, such a great guitar player. Of the 4 times I saw Bowie, the only one Iless than stellar was in 90 or 91?, with Adrian Belew and teh Bears, with the Bears playing behind a Giant sbreen. There was some cool nostalgia, but it was the greatest hits swan snog tour.

jeff GREAT vibe today to accompany the green mountains. If this is the last syrup for the pandemic times...nice finale. I hope not the last pandemic cast.

@JB - "100 Locked Grooves" was most likely intended as a concept sound piece more than a listenable LP. Years later, RRRecords followed up with "500 Locked Grooves" and "1,000 Locked Grooves". I only own the original with 100 grooves. https://bit.ly/2F4MZ73

1,000 Locked Grooves is the grooviest record I know of--most records only have 2 grooves (one each side.)
