There have been at least 70 army raids over the last 2 weeks, including an Aug. 27 attack on the al-Fawwar refugee camp where a family was severely beaten and its money stolen.

On September 5, 2020, Chris Hedges talked to attorney Steven Donziger. Donziger battled the corporate oil giant, Chevron, over environmental pollution and destruction in Ecuador, winning a court judgment of $9.5 billion for indigenous communities. Since then, Chevron, with the help of a corrupt federal judge, has waged a campaign against Donziger to destroy him economically, professionally and personally. Chevron's main goal is to avoid paying for the urgently needed cleanup.
