This week is one for the books, as a grand jury refused to charge any of the police officers responsible for killing Breonna Taylor with her murder, the president said he would not commit to a peaceful transition of power should he lose the election, and states continued plans to reopen, even as cases of Covid-19 are starting back up again. News media may not control what happens in the world, but the way they show it to us has a real impact on how we feel about it, and on what we think we can do about it.
