Interesting to hear the story of "subs"; you must all miss the comradery.

The only Peel sessions I have are on an XTC box set i got for Christmas. Great to hear all of this other stuff.

I so miss being in the studio, seeing the other djs, and the croissants from the caf.

@ JB got a lot of plugs on Saturday Pandemicast since I played a couple I stole from recent syrups. How long does the 2 hour syrup continue?

it's like that in the beer industry too. We see out co-workers, but the community is separated these days.

Its a well know fact the only good thing to come out of Anthrax is the cover of got the time.

John Peel was a BBC presenter from 1967 until he died in 2004. Only 37 years. Seems like his career spanned a couple more decades than that.

@JeffB – I always associate John Peel with mid 70's punk and 80's post-punk, though there are a bunch of sessions from the late 60's and early 70's with artists like Think Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Black Sabbath. I think I'll touch on some of that next week.
