Better in Trump times...The Plot Against America

For it's times...catcher was groundbreaking but the fact that it's overused and serial killers were inspired by proves its mediocrity.

Portnoy's also LOL hilarious.

I like Roth's Zuckerman trilogy.

I watched HBO's adaptation of the Plat Against America. It was good. Winona Ryder and John Turturro were great

I don't know that Leyner book, but I'd rec his early ones: My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist; I Smell Esther Williams; Tooth Imprints on a Corn Dog; The Tetherballs of Bougainville; and Et Tu, Babe. Wild, surreal humor.

I should get back in tor reading again...and writing...now that I'm "retired."

James I can't recommend Stephen King's "On writing" enough. I write a lot, used to read a ton but I fell out of the habit since the "Golden Age of Television" has been raging. But the book is inspiring me to read so much.

Yes. In July I aborted the drone mission and my personal drone had a catastrophic connection loss and now resides somewhere in the wilds of VT woods. Done with drones.
