Stan (announcing) “Exonerating Ethel” [Rosenberg] with her granddaughter Jennifer Meeropol
Event 11am TODAY at Community Church of Boston 2021
Jenn Meeropol discusses the successes and lessons learned from the 2016 campaign to exonerate her grandmother, Ethel Rosenberg. In 1951, at the height of the McCarthy era, Ethel was convicted of “conspiracy to commit espionage” alongside her husband Julius in a trial that would come to symbolize "Red Scare" hysteria and the U.S.’s willingness to commit injustice in the name of national security. As we mark the 70th anniversary of the conviction, Jenn shares what comes next for the exonerate campaign, including the exciting possibility of a relaunch effort in the months to come, and why it still matters today. Host Fernanda Echavarri The Insurrection Was a Giant Recruitment Exercise for Extremists
The Mother Jones podcast Available at MJ's website motherjones.com 2021
This is Episode 171, posted at https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2021/06/podcast-january-6-qanon-history-whats-next/ . The deadly insurrection at the US Capitol wasn’t the start of something, nor was it the end. What happened on January 6 had been planned for weeks, and the ideology behind it had been brewing for years. That day’s chaos was the moment in which a dangerous mix of far-right factions came together in a way that won’t be disentangled anytime soon. Even now, some five months later, there’s still so much to process and still so many questions to answer (especially as Republicans work to forget the deadly attack ever happened). So at Mother Jones, we’re continuing to unpack what led to that day and what has followed.

We feature reports on two incidents, which took place in the last few weeks, which are illustrative of this strategy. These incidents illustrate the depth of the Israeli Lobby’s strategy to obstruct the reach of the Palestinian BDS Movement in its attempts to shape Media reporting as it did in the Associated Press firing of Emily Wilder and through the development of state laws to outlaw the BDS Movement, as it has in Texas and other states.

Stan (reading from published article) Was There a Wuhan Lab Leak? An inquiry won’t dig out the truth, it will deepen the deception
Consortium News article 6-3-2021 by Jonathan Cook posted at https://consortiumnews.com/2021/06/03/was-there-a-wuhan-lab-leak/ 2021
... Did a human-manipulated novel coronavirus escape from the lab and spread around the world? Here we get to the tricky bit, because nobody in a position to answer that question appears to have any interest in finding out the truth — or at least, they have no interest in the rest of us learning the truth. Not China. Not U.S. policy-makers. Not the World Health Organization. And not the corporate media. The only thing we can state with certainty is this: our understanding of the origins of Covid has been narratively managed over the past 15 months and is still being narratively managed. We are being told only what suits powerful political, scientific and commercial interests. ...

Co-hosts Heidi Boghosian and Michael Smith Director of Palestine Legal speaks on recent Israel-Palestine Conflict
Law and Disorder Radio (one of TJR's very special sources) Available at L&D's website lawanddisorder.org 2021
... The recent 11 day horrific slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza, approved in advance by the Biden administration and conducted by Israel with American supplied weapons, started when Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an effort to consolidate right wing support evicted Palestinians from their homes in a Palestinian neighborhood in Jerusalem. The Prime Minister also had his military invade and shoot up the Al-Asqua mosque in Jerusalem while 300 Palestinians were there praying on the last day of Ramadan. The Zionist apparatus in the United States is extremely strong. Through lawsuits and political pressure they have carved out what Michael Ratner called – the Palestine exception to the First Amendment. ...

The company claims its millions in donations to a dark money group that pleaded guilty to bribing politicians on its behalf are protected by the First Amendment! Ohio is currently home to the largest public corruption case in the country, far outdoing cases playing out in usual suspects Illinois and New York in terms of the amount of money and powerful figures involved. The federal investigation into a $61 million bribery scheme involves the Akron-based coal and nuclear power company formerly named FirstEnergy Solutions, a “dark money” advocacy group called Generation Now, and a group of defendants led by indicted former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder—who won re-election in 2020 with 74% of the vote, despite being arrested by the FBI last summer on bribery charges. ...
