What keeps you going?

there's a certain level of tension/anxiety that comes with llive radio, but it gives the show an edge an energy that's cool. And when the synergy with listeners happens with requests, it can be awesome

Having some skin in the game(brown that is) I find Mexican Radio kind of kitschy but I get that it's sad that most people remember Wall of Voodoo for that. Kind of like Gary Numan and Cars.

i went to see gary newman live in 2010 - what a show.

but it is a total sadness that he is a "one hit wonder" that never stops hitting BH1 compilation shows... :(

James, do you have the album "The Bridge" by Thomas Leer & Robert Rental? The lyrics of the song Fade Away are all.about radio.

"The Bridge" is mostly electronics but Fade Away has guitar in it.

well that was a glitch. It said "Connection was lost, we're trying to reconnect you"

Glad still hear to hear. I ran out of songs I wanted to play and requests and was able to add one I wanted to play

Funny, the glitch there made the stream silent for maybe 10 seconds, then you play a song with lyrics "this radio is busted"

that's as good as when the bot started looping "Something's Wrong" for 10 hours..

Gonna look into different ways to enable real time feeds though. System we're using is free. Works really well 90% of the time. But mission critical requires 100%

That's true. At least we aren't commercial radio with unforgiving fans and demanding sponsors

When there's dead air on commercial stations, I turn it up and keep listening to see how long it lasts..

I made it through Canada this week. They just opened the border for non-essential travel by Americans. I preregistered, and brought proof of neg. test result & vaccination. Blew through border interview in 2 minutes. FYI in case anyone's thinking of visiting Canada.
