this is rad! will definitely spin on my road trip

i'm gonna work in a lab that specializes in metacognition, or thinking about thinking. i'm interested in studying metacognition & memory, so will be asking questions like how we assess the accuracy of memories, what makes us more or less confident in the accuracy of different memories, and stuff like that

might dabble a little in consciousness too :) my advisor is Dr. Megan Peters if you wanna look her up

back when it was more of a thing, I spent some time studying repressed memory a bit; Elizabeth Loftus, people like that. It is interesting how that field has evolved over the years.

it is super interesting. and Loftus is a prof at UC Irvine where I'm gonna be! she's such a giant in the field so i'm excited to have a chance to meet her

controversial figure with some people; but suffice to say, I lean towards her take on the subject; sounds like you will be working with some top people in the field, cool.

yeahhh she’s definitely made some questionable choices as a public figure. itll still be super interesting to learn about her experiences and hear her thoughts about how the field has evolved
