Ribot has one of the best solo sets out there in my opinion. Love his Ayler reimaginings.

Wow. That sounds amazing. Well, doors at 7 just as your show ends, 5 mins down the road so I got to give it a shot. Didn't realize the show is part of jazz fest and it sold out quickly.

That might have been a wide panning technique. In vocals it's called hocketing. I didn't notice that when I heard it, will have to go back and listen.
