hey PiGuy how are the bugs out there?

I am thinking that climate change has lessened their impact. I don't get nearly as many bites as I used to get say 10 years ago. Windshield is much cleaner than it used to be too.

when i visit a friend in sandisfield - had to be spring or fall.. bugs took over in the summer.

Maybe I'm not close enough to wetlands. More worried about hitting a deer on the pike than the bugs, TBH.

i gotta head back out there. my Mom lives just west of the Pioneer Valley

Yeah my son has a house in Springfield that we are selling as he is gonna be teaching at East Boston High this fall. SO my work trips now include maintenance and removing things from the house.

My first paid show in Boston has Robin Lane opening for the cars at the old music hall. I think I have fonder memories of her...

yeah when i saw the Cars live in Providence it wasn't a very inspiring performance

I seem to remember her for the Pretenders as well

I also have a memory of the Severed Heads opening for the Legendary Pink Dots at a ZBC sponsored show at the Paradise

I think I saw them twice. One time with full stage show etc and once where all their gear got lost or something and they played with no theatrics.

The show I remember the most was when Cevin Key took a chainsaw to oil drum

While Nivek Ogre stabbed blood packs, spewing it all over people close to the stage

SP seemed to have a lot of back luck in Boston...Lost their stuff multiple times. Somerville Theatre show canceled because Ogre was "ill"

Robin Lane, Middlebury College, 1980. The band came back to our fraternity and autographed my album. Tim Jackson, Scott Baerenwald, and most preciously, Asa Brebner...he drew a guitar and signed his name within it. Robin and Leroy did not sign. (I think they left early).

@PeterC - saw Severed Heads at ONCE ballroom, Tom Ellard was super sick with the flu, but performed anyway, you probably saw him right around then. He staffed the merch table, I bought a T-shirt but kind of held my breath so I wouldn't catch his disease. One of 20 deadly..

I saw SP at Avalon or whatever it was called at that point during the Last Rites tour. It was a great show, great version of Testure to end it. Right before the whole thing went sideways with them. But glad they made it back from the void, if not fully intact sadly.

There is a bunch of Treehouse breweries these days, The one in S Deerfield has an oven and makes pizzas. Kind of an open atrium plus a lawn so I am not sure where a stage would be. Looks like it used to be an office building.

Skinny Puppy tour is off until 2023......

They bought a CC in Tewksbury that will be another Treehouse in a year or so. Keeping the golf course open though. Went to the one in S Deerfield after my son's graduation in May, good time had by all.

@Andrew Canada's gonna pick up a lot of expats from the US if our elections fail to restore democracy..
