@Roger - I messed up my sister's 8-track of Boston's first album, so I opened the cartridge to fix it and couldn't believe how the contraption worked. Based on old radio carts I guess.

@Simon that reminds me of one of my worst childhood memories. I was ten the year Elvis died and that Xmas my aunt gave me an 8-track of one of his albums for Xmas. I never got to hear it because shortly after opening it my year old sister had pulled the tape out of it completely.

well maybe not one of the worst but it was traumatic nonetheless

A one year old joyfully pulling the tape out of an 8-track makes me think of all the vids of cats completely unraveling a toilet paper roll from the wall
