Campuses across the country—Rutgers, MIT, Ohio State, Boston University, Emerson, Tufts, and on and on—are erupting in protest over their institutions’ material support for Israel’s war on Palestinians, and for the companies making the weapons. And the colleges’ official responses are gutting the notion that elite higher education entails respect for the free expression of ideas. Students for Justice in Palestine is working with many of these students. We’ll hear from Sam from National SJP about unfolding events.

Bush & associates have turned Palestine into a bigger living hell than ever. The West Bank is in flames, and Gaza is a laboratory for the murder of an entire population, all under the auspices of, and with funds and encouragement from, the United States. After some gruesome, heartbreaking news reports, we devote our remaining time to an interview with distinguished author/journalist/producer Ramzy Baroud. In 2002, Mr. Baroud published his first internationally acclaimed book in the US, entitled: "Searching Jenin: Eyewitness Accounts of the Israeli Invasion," with an introduction by Noam Chomsky. His second book: "The Second Palestinian Intifada: A Chronicle of a People's Struggle," was published by London-based Pluto Press in 2006 and won the praise of many scholars world-wide, including Dr. Hanan Ashrawi and Professor Norman Finkelstein. You can read his articles on his website: ramzybaroud.net. He joins us from Seattle where he is on a family visit.

[By Chris Hedges, alias "Mr. Fish," with his wife reading the text.] University students across the country, facing mass arrests, suspensions, evictions and expulsions are our last, best hope to halt the genocide in Gaza.
