Edged In Blue

Fri 3.00PM–5.00PM

Don’t miss a beat! Tune in when KKFI’s original rockin’ blues goddess, Wendy hosts Edged in Blue….that rockin lil blues show, every Friday afternoon during drive time. Edged in Blue is a musical mix of contemporary blues and rock gently shaken with a twist of the blues masters. HEADSET is an occasional segment of Edged in Blue featuring three selections with one artist as the common thread. Also, tune in to hear the “Flea Market Find,” a tune played from an album selected for that month. The Flea Market Find is always on…..vinyl. In the nearly 20 years at KKFI, Wendy has interviewed numerous national and local artists.

Your Jazz Afternoon (Music)

My show usually includes birthdays of famous and not so famous jazz musicians, recent releases, local artists, interviews, and classic jazz from the likes of Charlie Parker, Miles, Coltrane, Blue Note, Prestige, Riverside, etc. Heavy on the small group instrumental jazz; light on vocalists and big bands.
