from Inget Nytt Under Solen (Musea 1994) —For today's Monster Size Epic we have some terrific Progressive Rock from Uppsala, Sweden. This is the epic title track to their 2nd album. Originally released in 1976


Scorpions “Crying Days”
from Virgin Killer (Axe Killer 2004) —A really cool tune by this classic band out of Hannover, Germany. This selection comes from their 4th album. Originally released in 1976


Calibro 35 “Trafelato”
from Calibro 35 (Cinedelic 2011) —Prog / Psych with a soundtrack twist, out of Milan, Italy. This tune comes from their 2008 debut album


Arachnoïd “Toutes ces Images”
from Arachnoïd (Musea 1996) —Prog Rock from Paris, France. This selection comes from this band's legendary lone album from 1979


Iron Duke “Rockin' Edward”
from First Salvo (Paisley Press 2016) —Epic keyboard heavy Progressive Rock out of Denmark. This sprawling track comes off of their 1st album. Originally released in 1974


Carson “Travelling South”
from Golden Miles - Australian Progressive Rock 1969-1974 (Raven 1994) —Classic Rock from Melbourne, Australia. This tune was released as a single in 1971, a year before their debut album


Spiralmaze “Tiktaalik”
from Dunes of Dorlmeus (self released 2018) N  —New Space Rock / Prog out of Chaina, Greece (on the island of Crete). This tune comes from their sophomore effort. Released in 2018


Steve Linnegar's Snakeshed “Tao Ch'ang Wu Wei”
from Classic Epics (Guerssen 2014) —Rare Prog Rock from South Africa. This selection comes off of their debut album. Originally released in 1982


Telegraph “Claustrophobia”
from Mir (self released 2018) N  —New Progressive Rock out of Tel Aviv, Israel. This track comes from this bands freshly released conceptual debut. Based on a true story of a Russian cosmonaut stuck in space


Sweet Marriage “Mort”
from Tapestry ... and Other Lost U.K. Progressive Bands - British Radio Sessions 1969-1971 (On The Air 2013) —Obscure Rock from Manchester, England. This tune was originally recorded at the BBC in 1969. I'm playing it from this great compilation, released in 2013


Rayuela “Sexo y Dinero”
from Rayuela (Ediciones Rayuela 1995) —Latin spiced Prog Rock out of Argentina. This selection comes off this bands only album. Originally released in 1977


Blast Furnace “Long Distance”
from Blast Furnace (Long Hair 2002) —Prog Rock from Copenhagen, Denmark. This killer track comes off this band's lone album. Originally released in 1971


Kansas “Musicatto”
from Power (MCA url 1986) —Good Morning! We begin C-Sides #263 with a Progressive Rock instrumental from this well known band out of Topeka, KS. This tune features the fantastic fretwork of Steve Morse. Power was Kansas' 10th studio album and was released in 1986
