Hi Readie, we got 1 3/4 inches with a TON of thunder ... at 3:30 A freaking M on Wednesday. That was the worst in my neighborhood

Yeah many folks near here unfortunately didn't make it because of flooding into their cars. Stuff happened so fast!

(But I really did my homework, clearing drains, fixing rain gutters, etc...)

This is our new normal for the summers from now on....

I am on the ground floor, but I have lots of windows. An interior closet is pretty big, though. I hunker down there.

Moving all of his equipment must have been a real challenge, though! We WPRB'ers are resilient!

@Readie, it was a little scary, but there was hardly any damage in our area. Just flooding and some debris blown about. There was a tornado that touched down on the Delaware not too far away. I didn't k ow that while I was in the basement, listening to Jon's show.

I was cheered up by the WPRB fam and Jon's great set list. 💗 Jon deserves an Intrepid Radio Broadcaster award 🎖 for moving his show into his own basement for the final 45 minutes.

@Christine- radio can be a comfort during chaotic weather! After Superstorm Sandy I had a battery operated radio and it was comforting with no power

@ Christine: I have one, and you'd be surprised how much you have to crank it, about 3 or so times every 15 sec.

I just got a set of new batteries. I have to look for my little FM/AM/SW, etc. radio...

The only station I could get during Sandy was WNYC from NYC. Brian Lehrer, the morning host was on for a loooong time, and he was such a comfort...

Waveforms create a wonderful, dynamic landscape

Especially something with a strong Beat, or a Smoooth sine Wave...

The Schtu track has a very satisfying waveform, very spiky and uniform

So for this"Euphoria" track, one oscilloscope with three different colors superimposed, just close eyes..

Voice is Yellow, Beat is Green, Electro is Blue, works for me!

The water has *mostly* receded. Rivers are still very high though.

But close. The tape collectors and all had a funny way of naming things . There have been some chord progressions in this version that the GD ventured into many times over the decades. Some parts were close to what was called "spanish jam" too. Close but not exactly the same way twice... or twenty

Amazing to see how random those tornadoes were, dropping down along the path of the supercell thunderstorms...

Hmm I thought it was the other way round in the set... as in we just heard the 1947 track and earlier was the 1991 track

Last thing before Honky Tonk sounded like a very old scratchy recording. And the track previous sounded like a 1990s production.
