Also came across an unexpected monetary gift recently, so I used that to pick up a few more things to play for you. The next couple weeks are gonna rule.

I had the day off yesterday, and I resolved to stay in my robe all day to play video games and listen to music. I ended up listening to 12 full records.

Gems are the best so much killer stuff on this show wished I discovered 30 years ago.

It's getting to where the only thing I play in the car is past shows, and I've picked up 24 LP's and 8 CD's since last Friday

They're called Silent Planet. My friend and I upgraded to VIP tickets, too, so we get to arrive early to meet the band and watch them soundcheck. It should be rad.

Plus, the friend I'm meeting up with is one of my favorite people ever and her and I weren't able to get together at all last year. So I'm excited just to be able to chill with her.

It's gonna be a little mini vacay. I have a suite out there, so I'll head up early, hit up a comic store I like, grab some lunch, then meet up with Krystal for the show.

My leg was all swollen, red, and leaking lymphatic fluid. It was severely painful, 10 on a 0-10 scale. My wife said I should go to the emergency room, but I said that would not be a good idea, since I would most likely have to wait for 8 or 9 hours before I would even be seen by a doctor (based on previous experience with the Kaiser in Fontana).

Instead, we went to the Kaiser location in Riverside. We walked in, checked in, and the receptionist had us go in the back where a doctor saw us immediately. He wanted to have me admitted for treatment and observation. After some tests, it turned out that I had a blood clot in my upper leg, and could have traveled to my heart or brain.

Crap, Dave. Glad they caught that, brother.

I spent most of my time doped up on high powered pain killers, listening to the idle ramblings of my elderly roommate, and one day I even watched football while eating carrot sticks. An interesting experience indeed!

The football with carrot sticks part sounds pretty cool. The rest of it sounds like a rough few days that I'm very happy you're on the other side of, Dave.

Don’t care for carrots but they probably would have tasted great while watching the Cowboys choke.

Rough games all around. Miami got destroyed, Cowboys got embarrassed, and Philly didn't even show up to play.

The Bills Chiefs game on Sunday is gonna be a banger.

Packers got off to such a great start like 27-0 that game wasn't even as close as final score.

I love that we'll be watching Mahomes-Allen play each other for many years to come. Their games are always electric.

It's like the Brady-Manning rivalry, except one of them isn't the biggest douche of all time.

You have no idea how glad I am to be the hell out of there! With all the Lasix they were giving me, I had to pee 24/7. I currently have a home health nurse coming out every day to administer intravenous injections of antibiotics, and starting next week, will perform wound care on the back of my lower right leg where a lot of open wounds are. Getting old is NOT fun!

I didn’t even watch the game. I saw the score and didn’t want to jinx the Packers. I waited until it was over to celebrate.

Aaron Rogers had exactly the season I hoped he would have.

I hope he only plays half as long next year.

The whole organization is a joke. They need new ownership, new coaches, the works. We haven't had a good skipper since Rex Ryan.

And even he really only put together one decent season. That was the year we swept Brady.

But maybe Rodgers has 3 really good season left and leads the Jets to 3 straight Super Bowls.

If Rodgers plays next year, we'll have the same 6-11 record we got without him. And after the third loss or so, he'll start blaming the rest of the team for his terrible playing.

History and time is not in Rodgers favor. It’s a familiar tale and never goes favorably for the player.

Just thought the football world was robbed with Rodgers out after that first series on MNF. Just wasn't the same going with Wilson and Bowls and whoever else at quarterback.

I was watching the Buffalo game (I forgot who they were playing… too many opioids!) from my hospital bed. They showed guys shoveling snow outside the stadium. I was expecting the players to be playing in a blizzard of snow, mud, etc. Instead, the field conditions were relatively clean like any other game… I was seriously bummed out! I want to see them battling the worst of mother nature, the way they played back in the ‘50s and ‘60s!

NFL is keeping it fresh by playing 30 year old acts.
